Oohhhhh! Ahhhhh! That pretty much sums up No. 11. It opens with the note of anise, and it’s a chilled, icy and refreshing anise, the kind that makes you draw in your breath deeply while your mind frantically searches for why that interesting note is so familiar (it smells like frozen licorice). Once this signature note has been established, the other pieces of the puzzle unfold with the fresh notes of gimlet (lime and gin), a brisk breeze of juniper berry and a slight dash of cracked black pepper. Soft, rare woods and platinum musk round out this exotic and highly addictive elixir. If you seek utterly unique but not entirely weird, something stylish but with a mysterious, “What is he wearing?!” element to it, you need look no further.
