ugh no maaaaam . this was the sample i was lookin forward to the most . been searchin for a GOOD marine / not heavily aquatic frag and read all the fanfukntastic reviews for this so i was like dam lets try it ! welp i got it , dabbed it , and immediately thought " ok im gettin the salt ( which i liked alot ) but everythin else is vomitty." this stuff is mad pungent , very strong . i think of very dark greens and browns when i smell this . theres just somethin too strong about this that i hate . im lookin for somethin a bit softer all around and this is harsh and in ur face , like starin down at ur desk and havin freddys claw reach up outta ur book and grabs your goddam face . the few people i let smell my wrist were universally in agreement that this is awful ...

The most magical fragrance I have found so far- and I have no idea how many samples I ordered from Luckyscent- at least 50. At first I put it on and thought it smelled like shampoo (not good in my book). Then it expanded into something wondrous. On my skin it is a beautiful vetiver floral smell. I can smell the iris lurking in the background and the cardamom adding some sparkle. It smells like the ocean and the forest at once for me. Truly fascinating and incomparable. I can smell this fragrance all day on my skin and love its evolution.

My favorite scent from the line, very wonderful and strange take on Vetiver, refreshing, crisp, cool, and SALTY, it feels like sun warmed skin, after a dip in the ocean. STUNNING.

This is a magnificent scent. A really pure and aggressive vetiver, with just a hint of the geranium and iris to sweeten it.

I love this scent - especially when I first open the box. But it has absolutely no staying power. It's not just that I can't smell it after I put it on - no one else can either.

I am in love with this scent. I seriously can't get enough. It's a great free-spirited scent with obvious woody notes and in my opinion the patchouli and vetiver are quite potent. It definitely reminds me of the scent of skin and hair after a day at the ocean. Perfect for men or women.

Hmm. smells like Daddy Ellena had more than a little to do with this one. Very very reminiscent of his own Vetiver Tonka, not in its sweetness, but in the vetiver-ness of it, if you will. Dry, yes. Oceanic, yes. Does miraculously achieve a "warm skin" smell by the drydown, which comes very fast. no sillgage whatsoever. this is meant to be sniffed by someone burying their nose deep into your neck. Not so bad... Falls far below my favorite Vetyver Extraordinaire by Ropion. Still, would be a nice addition to the wardrobe if someone was to buy it for me.

"Aromatics Elixir" by Clinique is what I was reaching for with the comment below re: Prescriptives frag I couldn't name.

I really wanted to like this one. Maybe the problem is with my body chemistry? It comes out of the bottle smelling like medicated bandages, which is OK, and then passes through a vaguely mentholic/nutmeg stage before settling into a powdery, green scent highly reminiscent of the first scent for women by Prescriptives... not Calyx, the one before it -- can't think of the name. The "sel" seems apt... it is somewhat oceanic... certainly more ethereal than what I think of when I think of vetiver. Not masculine at all. For me it was the powderiness that was a problem more than anything else.

This is a wonderful, woody vetiver on me - no salt or ocean to speak of, just a beautiful true vetiver. My favorite one so far!

Great new vetiver scent. Fresh, salty, earthy, light woods and greeen. The best of the best vetiver scents that I've tried. As good as Mugler Cologne and Creed OV but is more interesting in the oceanic aspect. I like it.

If you like salt in your scents, this is the bomb. The three people who complimented it today each thought it smelled like their favorite wild place. Interesting that they were all very different places - forest, seashore, moor. Will buy more.

Very very nice Vetiver. Subtle but distinctive. If you have never gotten into Vetiver try this and you might be converted. A+

I thought at first this was nice - then I realised it smelt like wet paint.

I have become addicted to this scent. It is very dry, distinguished and unique. I watched "Lawrence of Arabia" recently and this scent makes me think of him.

Vetiver is STILL an elusive fragrance for me to love, and unfortunately, Sel de Vetiver does nothing to change that. Such a shame, as their other scents are wonderful.
