This is a very true, unmitigated patchouli with some woody notes in there. The first burst and for a long while afterward it's a very strong, crisp patchouli. I'd imagine if you're patchouliphobic you'd HATE this, if you love patchouli (as I do).... you'll still maybe meet it with slight reservation as it is very strong on first impact, VERY strong, but as it mellows it becomes delightful and now, about 4 hours later on me, it's actually faded to a warm vanilla, not dissimilar from Diptyque's Eau Duelle which I own and love. This will be good for fall and winter especially.

I think this is a "clean" patchouli fragrance. It is primarily patchouli, for certain, but of the crisp variety. But there is also a bit of a clean powdery quality element (the white musk) and a tidgen of sweetness (osmanthus and anise) that temper the blend and make it a quieter, softer, non-hippie patchouli. It stays relatively close to my skin but has nice lasting power. I get compliments on it all the time, and it's my go-to fragrance when I don't want to take the time to consider my choices.

A cool patchouli without getting medicinal or to strong. Cool and gentle. Smells almost like damp mud at first but it lightens up as it wears on. The anise, white musk in the base keep a very cool profile. The osmanthus gives a slight peach warmth to the opening. One of the best patchouli fragrances made because there is no vanilla or amber to sweeten it all up, but the patch is softened anyway by osmanthus and anise.

Well-behaved patchouli, not headache-inducing, fairly linear, nothing complex. I wouldn't wear it myself but as a modern, light rendition of patchouli it's good.

I think I would like this fragrance if I could smell it. I had to use 1/2 of a sample and it still was so light I could not smell it. It would need to be layered with a body lotion or come in an eau de parfum to get a true sense of this fragrance.
