You know how some (most) 80's fragrances are loud? Well, Montaigne is like that except it's exhuberant. It's too well done to be reviled as an 80's embarrassment. It opens with luscious fruits (no cherry chapstick) almost peachy/banana. Then large floral bouquet with a heaping helping of tuberose. As with all things Caron, extrait is just so very, very good and my preference. Less "exhuberant", less sharp than the EdP. Large sillage, super long lasting. Not for the shy. I'm giving it a 4 simply because it's quite a lot to handle and I like diva scents. But very well done. So glad Luckyscent has picked up this house. I think they make Guerlain look like poseurs! So happy too that they are offering the extraits. I remember back in the day when most fragrances came in 3 strengths, EdT, EdP and Parfum. In this day and age most don't offer parfum, I'm sure it's less economical and has a smaller market, so happy to find it here. Thank you Luckyscent!
