Here's what other people are saying about Knize Ten...
Industrial floral bathroom cleaner, motor oil, new tires. Literally the bathroom at a Brake and Tire Shop. If you live near Waco, Texas, this smells like Jerry Steven’s Firestone.

Last week, I just ran out of my beloved Knize Ten that I purchased here back in 2018. I'm in complete shock as to how badly this has been reformulated. Gone is the gorgeous sweet leathery base that that pulled all the notes together and we're now left with a harsh, brash replacement that reminds me of motor oil with a harsh edge. The excitement of receiving my new bottle quickly turned into utter depression upon the first nasty spritz. They've utterly destroyed this once beautiful masterpiece. What the heck are they thinking?

Super leathery. Amazingly masculine. It’s one of my everyday scents. Perfect amount of musk for a chillier night and Jacket weather. I like many probably was intrigued because it was James Deans signature scent. I can’t say enough good things. A little goes a long way. Lasts well and opens up as you perspire. Currently awaiting my fourth order I believe. I’ve worn for years.

Kenize Ten is a wonderful scent for a man. Not sweet like so many others, very strong and yet subtle. Perfect for a gentleman of any age.

If I could only have one fragrance, this would be it! A classic true gentleman's sent. Without being heavy, it lasts all day and into to the next. I feel elegant and polished when I wear this. One or two light sprays is all you need. I also enjoy that there is not another scent out today that comes even remotely close to this. I am very glad found it as it is not common and certainly not for the masses, Knize Ten is in a class of it's own.

Didn't enjoy this one at all sadly. Reminded me of something the guy with an array of perfumes in a club/pub toilet would spray ya with.

This is gorgeous, timeless stuff. An uber-masculine leather with a soft floral/citrus head. It suggests aggressive masculinity... and suave, tailored gentility, à la fois. Like a James Bond character. It is impeccably made and smells eminently natural, from stem-to-stern. Make no mistake, the tangy, tooth-y leather is rugged and outdoorsy; no red Moroccan fauteuils, Bentley interiors or suede purses here. More like a new pair of Tony Lama cowboy boots. Just when you think it cannot be more butch, you are disarmed by the gracious, airy, soft herbal floralcy. It might be thought of as the ultra-butch brother to Piguet BANDIT, as it is equally complex and Euro-sophisticated.

I just received my sample and will be purchasing - but I'm shocked that no review (on any site) mentions the similarity between this and the original Donna Karan perfume in those black and gold bottles from the 90s.

Knize Ten is the scent equivalent of a Golden Age screen goddess telling a (really funny) risque joke -- so lovely, so well-constructed, and then you realize that it/she are also witty and down-to-earth. The opening is as pretty as you'd imagine from the notes listed, with petitgrain walking in step with bergamot, orange, and rose; after a few minutes (about the time our screen goddess decides you're worth paying a bit of attention to, and just as the sandalwood is stepping back) it comes out with a delightful leather-musk-and-grain pong that literally made me giggle. From there on out, it's an easygoing, timeless delight -- and, like a true star, destined to shine on long after lesser imitators are forgotten.

One thing I can guarantee with total assurance is that the aroma of Knize Ten won't "disappear before you finish dressing," as another unfortunate reviewer complained. Assuming, that is, it takes you less than 24 hours to dress. As for whether or not you will like this: no guarantee. I do, and bought a bottle. But I had to learn to like it. Here was one of the acknowledged "classic leather fragrances" and I wasn't getting any leather at all (still don't). What I do perceive, for those who don't find it an oxymoron, is a complex masculine floral with a shifting nature and great longevity. I went from disliking it to almost craving it in the span of about four weeks. Can't explain it, but glad I stuck with it.

I have an original bottle of this, found still sealed at the back of a warehouse. I am not sure quite what the difference is, but the new version just lacks something, it does not have the same depth, I don't mean heaviness, I mean substance. Also it really fades away much quicker, sometimes it has disappeared before I am even finished dressing, guess I had better use the original sparingly.

If I could only have one, this would be it. It combines all of the things that I love in perfumes: the florals, the leather, the hint of skank. I would even take it over the inimitable Cuir de Russie.

My favorite. When I wear this, I keep smelling myself all day (and it does last all day) to enjoy the various delicious changes. My girlfriend loves it on me, too.

It's a classic of it's genre. There is a reason why this one has been around as long as it has. I suspect this fragrance will go through the current century without missing a beat.

Two years ago hated the samples but now that we are "over" the Oud period, this classic hits home. It is so complicated I never tire of putting it on. The soap is even more subtle and they make a body cream/emulsion that is also beautiful. I never get compliments on this scent but I don't need to - that is the magic of Knize Ten

This has a strong leather note mingled with subtle citrus and florals and ideal for both sexes. Some people get a "tar" note, but this is very minor. I would compare this as a lighter version of Serge Lutens Cuir Mauresque, as CM has some "rubber" notes and leather.

I let the samples rest for a day before trying. I wore this twice before I came to a conclusion. This, though much older than anything by Serge Lutens, smells identical to Chergui. I must say I'm not a fan of either. It's a sweet, floral, suede scent that is not masculine at all, in my opinion.

I don't know. I was reading all these reviews and expecting to be blown away. To me it's very similar to Royal English Leather. It definitely has an old world feel to it. Not great, not bad.

So I was looking for a leather scent that was masculine and lasted a long time but also embodied my passion of cars from the 30's & 40's. So after reading the reviews on Knize Ten, I went for it and never looked back. I however am not big on the powderyness at the initial spray on, but its what the dry down smells like that makes it worth the wait for me.... its like a leathery classic car interior and hint of vanilla on my skin that keeps me smelling my wrists throughout the day, or catching whiffs from the breeze around me. I love this scent and what it does for an ego boost is also worthwhile... it just hits the spot for what I was looking for and keeps me standing out in a crowd in a good way so it works for me.... and I am 28 yrs old...call me an old soul?

I read somewhere that this was James Dean signature scent! Beyond COOL!
