Jardin Clos Eau de Toilette by Diptyque

Pretty maids all in a row. This is Diptyque’s take on an English country garden – perhaps a hidden garden that has been left alone for a year or two. Then, when you finally find the key after much searching, you open the door in springtime and find a riotous bower of white lilacs and a rebellious abundance of blue hyacinths that have jumped the boundaries and taken over the paths. There is a grace note of watermelon in the opening and cool green underpinnings of leaves and moss that give this the feel of a real garden, but the center stage is ruled by the exuberant profusion of delicate spring flowers. This takes us back to childhood and the wonder of seeing a garden in full bloom.
