A symphony of green and wood notes: bright green grass and fig leaves, incense-like elemi and the cleansing lemon-tinged hinoki, dark vetiver and rich cedar. The Spirit of Wood has a raw, elemental, head-clearing aspect to it – you can almost smell the sap as you walk though a eucalyptus forest. Cultural phenomenon Cosmic Wonder Light Source (the nom de design of the enigmatic and elusive Japanese artist/ designer Yukinori Maeda.) combines a keen appreciation for nature with a distinctly modern esthetic. This collaboration with Philippe Paparella- Paris highlights both of those qualities. This wood-drenched potion is intense, with a spicy blast of coriander and a strong dose of cedar. It does mellow somewhat as it warms on the skin – but it never loses the rough, almost gingery freshness that makes it so special.
“The inspiration for this fragrance comes from Cosmic Wonder Light Source’s nature oriented fashion collection. Inspired by the designers memory of a scent experienced during a walk through an eucalyptus forest, a selection of fresh green top notes were combined with fig leaves and enlightened by green grass playing with fresh cut cypress. The idea was to create a rough and natural fragrance, using a lot of essential oils with a focus on the woody notes such as vetiver and hinoki” - Philippe Paparella-Paris, Perfumer
