If you swooned at her soulful extraits, but though their intensity was too much of a commitment for daytime wear, now’s the time to give in. Vero Kern has re-orchestrated her blends into eau de parfum: the different concentration called, she explains, for a slightly different formula.
A tribute to Man Ray’s muse and model, the irrepressible and shapely Kiki de Montparnasse, who could just as easily burst into a ribald song as inspire Surrealist poets, Kiki’s powdery, edible lavender was a perfect fit for an airier version, and would work on a man who’s looking for a sensuous, original fougère. With its berry notes and drizzle of caramel, it’s always had a sly sense of fun, but now, with passion fruit – the common thread between the three eau de parfum – bursting out of the top notes, it’s having a ball. Who knew lavender could be as playfully sexy?
