Baume du Doge delights the nose from the very first notes: juicy, sweet orange is followed by cinnamon, which colours the composition in golden-brown nuances. Orange thrills us with its perfect harmony with sweet and hot cinnamon aroma, but leaves unnoticeably, while spicy choir becomes sharper and tingles your nose. Noble sorts of incense unwrap their notes of resins and smoke, while saffron suddenly introduces a gourmand layer. The composition becomes woody, briefly hot with spices-- and then we get comfortable with the company of vanilla, peaceful cedar and warm resins. |
