Cuoio Eau de Toilette by Odori

The inspiration for Cuoio (leather) comes from the wonderfully unique cacophony of scents in the narrow streets of Florence where the Guild of Leather Crafters was established in 1292. Its nature is languid yet sexy and proof positive that you should never, ever judge an Odori fragrance by its name for this is not a smells-just-like-a-buttery-soft-Italian-glove or whip-me-master leather fragrance. A surprisingly zippy introduction unfurls with the ripe, fresh citrus notes of orange and bergamot which soon give way to a perfectly dry and well-aged ginger and vetiver. Honey and ylang ylang add just the smallest hint of sweet to the dry and earthy center, and together, they rule the heart of this beautiful and contemplative fragrance. The patchouli, birch and amber base notes eventually waft their way into the party and Cuoio positively smolders with a harmonious, non-strident sensuality. If women could purr when they smelled this on you, they would (and they just might, at that!) |
