Sweet Oriental Dream is one of the most addictively unique fragrances you’ll ever come across, a jealous lover of a scent that takes all of your attention and demands you to love it, love it, love it! Sweet, sugared almonds combined with moist, unsmoked cherry pipe tobacco. The Middle Eastern treat of Turkish delight (loukhoum) flavored with sumptuous rose petal jam, almonds and rich clover honey. Rich vanilla combined with sweet, unburned incense. It gives all of these things and more, a deep, foody and decadent dream of thick, exotic desserts from far-off lands. Save your money!! After giving this perfume a glowing 5 stars several years ago. It has alas been reformulated or the concentration changed to lower perfume levels.Sad they increased the price and give you less perfume. It is no longer my favorite thing. This watered down concoction, has now about a 6 hour life, the sweet Turkish delight factor very weak lasting about 2 hours. Save your money, buy something else, I will!!!!

This is a deliciously edible scent, with fantastic sillage & longevity; it lasted seventeen hours on me, which is a record! l tried Keiko Mecheri's Loukhoum Parfum du Soir, & l agree that this one is less powdery & more rose-prominent than the KM. l get vanilla, almonds, a jammy rose & a touch of smoke, & a gorgeous tonka note in the base. l find it very soothing, almost soporific, & l think it would make a perfect sleep scent. Exotic & lovely!

I did not like this stuff at all. Not sure if I got a bad batch, but I smell nothing but baby powder. I'd prefer not to smell like a baby's butt so this does not appeal to me. The first fragrance from Lucky Scent that I absolutely hated!

This is the strongest, sweetest and most lasting perfume ever - also much sillage. One drop or spray on a tissue or handkerchief, then rubbing the tissue on your pulse points should be more than enough. This is spicy but very, very sweet...I get a lot of honey & sugar from it, so forget it unless you love gourmands. It's a bargain because one bottle should last for months! I give it 5 stars for gourmand fans, but might be 3-4 stars for anyone who is shy of intense perfume.

Sweet and delicious, soft yet strong. Very baby-powdery on me when it dries down. I wore this as my signature fragrance for a while and got many questions and compliments. It has incredible staying power. If you want something that will cling to people when you hug them and remind them of you all day/night long, this is the one.

ok now this is what I call a wonderful gourmand!!!!!! It is sooooo much better than Keiko Mecheri's Loukoum. KM's Loukoum is WAY too powdery on me where this is just a touch powdery and very delicious. It's long lasting, the sillage is great, and although it's very sweet, it doesn't overpower or create headaches due to it's sweetness. It takes me away to a dreamlike state when I smell my arm. It has just the right amount of loukoum ingredients all blended perfectly together to create a truly beautiful and memorable perfume. Definitely worth trying the sample if you are curious about this scent. But only try it if you like gourmand or sweet scents otherwise this probably won't be your type of thing.

This is one of the nicest fragrances I have ever smelt! Opened my sample and had a whiff and then I ordered a big bottle of this amazing juice straight away. Sillage is fantastic and it lasted on my thristy skin for 12 hours plus.. you wont be disappointed

Sweet and good, a nice loukhoum scent - there is an indistinguishable tope note that is very green - not sure if I like it... overall 3.5 stars.

It is an amazing perfume I am now on my 4th bottle and can find nothing else to compare. It is soft and sweet, on me a lot of honey comes through. Men simply love it, and ask all the time where to get some for their wives. Caution highly addictive! Splurge get a sample it may win you over.

I couldn't smell any vanilla, which is fine, I can say I smelled maaaaaaybe a little almond. Really all I gathered from this was rosey, honey, POWDER! Reminds me of something an older woman would wear. I'm not saying it smells bad at all but I'm 24 and this is not for me at all.

This is definitely a foody kind of scent. I don't really enjoy the loukhoum scents like I thought I would, I'd rate Keiko Mecheri's Loukhoum scent higher than Sweet Oriental Dream but I am not really inspired by either. Sample it before you buy.

If you like the scent of those buttery Greek or Middle Eastern style cakes, drenched in honey-and-rosewater syrup, topped with sticky toasted almonds, and garnished with candied cherries, you'll LOVE this fragrance concept. It's a spot-on gourmand dupe; rich, sweet, and tempting....

This is possibly the sweetest smelling perfume I have ever encountered, and while I would normally reject something this sweet (sorry, it's the only word I find applies) Montale has again shown a finesse that other perfume houses lack and have blended it so skillfully that rather than being nauseatingly cloying, it is heartbreakingly lovely from start to finish with great staying power.

Definitely powdery sweet, and I don't normally do powder. However, there is something really wonderful about this. Something so different than anything I have ever encountered that makes me swoon. And to top it off, it is amazingly long-lasting, which is unusual for me. Get a sample and see for yourself.

Beautiful. I tried KM's Loukoum, but found it too powdery and sweet. This has enough floral notes in it to offset the sweet. Wears nicely, not too strong.

Wow...I don't know why I like this fragrance so much, but I'm just obsessed. I usually go for darker, more incence-y and amber blends, but this one makes me so dang happy! There's a lovely rose at the heart, and if I close my eyes and think of honey, I get that...but I also get a brightness that's close to freshly peeled oranges. I've never had loukhoum, so maybe that's why I can't get the cherry or almond, but with the honeyed rose notes I'm more than content. I'll be buying this one for sure...

Hands down the best fragrance ever! I kid you not when I say I have spent thousands of dollars on fragrances including two of the Indult scents and I keep reaching for this one over and over the only other fragrance that has this kind of effect on me is POTL which we all know is the best thing since sliced bread. Sweet Oriental Dream is a must have hidden little gem!

Oh, this is much better than KM! It's less sweet and more spicy on me. I absolutely love this. I've had many compliments already. It's sweet yet fresh. The perfect combination and the lasting power is amazing. I spray it on in the morning and I can still smell it as I fall asleep at night. I will be buying more when I run out!

Serge Lutens Rahat Loukoum turned me into a loukoum fan, with its warm, evocative cherry almond scent that's fresh and never cloying. And I've been on the hunt for a similar scent ever since. KM loukoum smells plastic to me (or just my skin chemistry). I just tried Montale recently, and it's . .. almost close enough. I smell a more powdery sharp rose scent than sweet loukoum. It's almost pungent at first, but does settle nicely. This one has amazing sillage -- I put a few drops on my hands in the morning, and can still smell in in the early evening. The jury's still out for me, but this is definitely worth a try if you like gourmand scent that doesn't scream out cheap mass produced.

This is a magnificiently dramatic scent. It smells intoxicating -- rich in dark rose, sugar, spices, almonds.. it is just a mesmerizingly enchanting fragrance that is a dream for any loukoum lover. Move over all loukoum scents this is the best of the best! This speaks volumes --- loud and clear.

I'm normally not a big loukhoum fan, but this is such a rich and gorgeous fragrance I couldn't help myself. This fragrance is indeed sweet, but the rose seems to temper it and the effect comes across as a soft, honeyed rose with a bit of edible notes in the background and certainly some of that cherry tobacco. Like all Montales that I've tried, this one has excellent staying power.
