Inspired by the perfumer's vision of a flower with leather petals, Psychotrope is dark, intoxicating and sublimely sophisticated. The scent starts with a floral-green aroma of white petals and grass on a cold spring morning, glistening with dew. There is a fascinating salty undertone in this floral accord, which makes the scent unexpectedly and mesmerisingly transparent and which serves as a bridge to the leather heart. The fine, smooth leather in the middle notes is infused with the candied aroma of jasmine; the composition becomes sweeter and darker as it develops, at the same time never losing the beautifully fresh, translucent quality. This might be one of the most unusual perfumes created by the very talented Pierre Guillaume, quirky, enigmatic and exceptionally elegant.
