The Scoop
Seductive and sexy, Cleopatra brings a sophisticated approach to Tocca’s most popular candle. The scent was inspired by the Mediterranean seductress, who herself has been known for her bath rituals and decadent lifestyle. Just like her character, the fragrance seduces the senses. Top notes are fresh and sparking containing grapefruit, lush greens and cassis— a European red current with a slight sweet yet tart note. The mid notes contain sensual floral notes including white jasmine and tuberose as well as peach nectar. The dry down is exotic, rich and warm with patchouli, golden amber and rich vanilla musk. The combination of these notes makes for a dynamic fragrance –- one which unfolds a multitude of characters.

Loved this scent at first sniff and all the way through the dry down. I spent two days trying to place why it smelled so familiar, but I think that just might be because it is perfect! It certainly isn't a subtle scent, though, so be warned if you like to be more discreet about your fragrance.

This is my signature scent. All at once I can smell the grapefruit, the green-ness (!), the 'raspberry jam' sweetness of the cassis, and the warm depths of the patchouli, amber and vanilla musk. It is so beautifully and artfully blended that no single ingredient upstages another; they all get a turn at taking center stage. It is the fragrance that has inspired a man to exclaim to me as follows: "Ah, you're wearing the good stuff!" Wear it and be a goddess, ladies! ; D

I really love this scent - it has some of the juicy green notes that I love in Un Jardin Sur Le Nil by Hermes. The dry down softens the citrus note and brings to mind the feeling of wearing a comfortable cashmere sweater. It must work well on my skin because I always get comments about how good it smells.

I definitely agree that this scent is completely different from the lotion and the candle. It is extremely strong on me and has an overpowering floral/granny quality. Even one spritz is too heavy for me, and it seems to permeate the whole room. I would categorize it as a winter scent due to its intensity.

i love this scent. it's very different. crisp and citrusy at first dying down to a sweet floral. i have had tonnes of compliments. when i talked to the cosmetics manager from the small cosmetics shop that carries this here, she said this is the least popular fragrance from Tocca. "Stella" is much more popular. according to her, this is a harder smell to wear...it either really works on you or it really doesn't...so sample first. my only letdown - is the staying power... it could last longer.

By far one of my favorites. I agree with one of the other reviews of falling in love at the first sniff, but still loving the entire cycle of the perfume. It really is dynamic, and I get tons of compliments. WARNING: I'm sure some other reviews make this clear, but this is nothing like the candle.

This is a refreshing and lasting fragrance. The top notes sparkle and gradually evaporate into a rich dry down that radiates a warm opulence......very worthy of being added to my stable of favorites.

The opening notes of this is perfect! Unfortunately, they're gone within minutes, leaving a scent that's exactly like Narciso Rodriguez For Her EDP. If you already have NR For Her EDP, then don't bother.

Very disappointing! I have been waiting for this fragrance ever since Tocca introduced the bath products. Does not capture the original impact at all. Only the top notes barely register as Cleopatra. The dry down completely changes the impact.

I am so extremely disappointed in this perfume.It smells nothing like the candle and lotion.At first the top notes are pleasing, but the dry down is a total turnoff.My husband hates it.He thought it was gross.I really wish they just stuck with the original scent.I was so looking forward to this perfume! I'm sooo bummed

I just bought this fragrance after falling in love with it at first sniff (a rarity for me!! Only has happened a handful of times in the past, most recently with Chanel's "Bois Des Iles"). I didn't know what the notes were; it was no surprise then to open the box and find that this fragrance includes many of my favorite notes, like amber, jasmine, tuberose and vanilla. I was also sooo pleased to see that it was inspired by the "mediterranean seductress"; that's exactly my style inspiration! (think Sofia Loren, Gina Lollobrigida, Claudia Cardinale) A very sexy fragrance; unique in that I would call it a floral skin-scent. It smells floral, but like sexy skin at the same time. Rare. I bought the body lotion and wash to layer, because I am in LOVE!
