This has a very expensive soap kind of smell. And even though I love it and bought a bottle of it upon first sniff, there is a note in here which makes me just a little uncomfortable. This smells very old fashion chic, but at the same time, like one of the reviewers has said, it reminds me of rich old men, as in old skin mixed with an expensive soap kind of smell. When given to my family members to smell I got two Smells Nice, one Smells Really Good, and one Smells Old. (Female)

Pretty nice but absence of wow factor on me. I get a very talcy musk. Brought to mind posh, silver haired, ralph lauren wearing Grandpappies. Does smell luxurious and 'cosy', and was particularly nice when I smelled it on my previously cuddled siamese, but maybe not one for the under 45's

First, pretty heavy and smells like attic but drydown is soft and addictive...Staying power is quite good as well. I would describe this as a very different kind of musk scent...

I find myself longing for this scent, two YEARS after first sampling it. I don't think this is a particularly gender-specific musk, and could be worn by a man, layered perhaps with something more robust. First rate!

Love at first spray. Starts of as an intense soapy scent which I love, but unfortunately for me, that disappears quickly. What is left is a pure and soft gentle musk, a natural skin smelling scent. It is beautiful, but for me it fades away too much for my liking.
