An absolutely beautiful fragrance. One of my top three from luckyscent - and I've been sampling profusely for the past year. Captures the flavor of a European beach town - sophisticated and natural at the same time. I smell the water, fresh flowers, sunshine: euphoria. Great lasting power. Their Zagara was also a lovely, very authentic rendition of the natural elements. Makes me want to try the whole line. Despite the daunting price. The bottles are huge, and you don't need much.

Marine scents, in my opinion, are always "too" something. Too sharp, too cucumber-ish, too fake, too fleeting. Marina is none of these things. It is fresh, light, and lasting. This scent does not announce itself in advance (you won't cause your office mates to wince as you walk by). It simply is like a breath of fresh, clean air. The scent of flowers and water carried by a breeze. Love it.

Marina, in its topnotes, reminds me very, very much of Malle's En Passant. It has the cool water, the fresh air, and the pastry sweetness, and I really think I smell some lilac. The drydown has hints of white wine and a green vine-like scent. In any case Marina is one of the remarkable fragrances that manages to capture a sensory moment in an almost magincal elixir. This is full-bottle worthy for me not just because it smells absolutely beautiful, but because I treasure the joyous feeling it evokes. Fans of such fragrances as En Passant, Hiris, Navegar, and Preparation Parfumee will surely love Marina.

I received this as a free sample and didn't expect to like it, but I keep reaching for it. It won't knock you over and is complex without coming across as "too old". It is fresh without being too young. I'm seriously considering it although the price is a little daunting.
