Rebel perfumes from a renegade fashion house, the newest Series from Comme des Garçons seeks to capture the unpredictable—but familiar—vibe of the Guerrilla stores themselves. The first Guerrilla store was a butcher shop in Cologne, Germany, and the Guerrilla 1 fragrance reflects the clean, white of the aprons (musk); the cool, metal of the counters (pear and pepper) and the warm, earthiness of the wood. For the carnivorous element of a butcher shop, they chose the earthy floral of Indian champaca flower, the enticing aroma of rich saffron and the spiced perfection of clove (you didn’t think they’d scent it with meat, did you?)
