Was not expecting to like this as much as I do. It's amazingly high quality. Unlike other reviewers, I don't get any notions of dirt or soil. Rather this is very freshly sweet on me, like a snapped stick of sugarcane. Received two unsolicited compliments on the very first day I wore it.

Sadly, this perfume did nothing positive for me. I found it to be aggressively masculine throughout, and overwhelming the moment I unstoppered the bottle. This is an INTENSELY green perfume, as the name would imply. It has a strong woodsy scent that is very earthy, like dirt dug up right after the rain. The middle notes seemed to make this perfume even more masculine, which further turned me off. It never let off the pressure, this perfume was overly strong from beginning to end. My mother hugged me after I'd been wearing it for about 2 hours and remarked upon how nice I smelled, which struck me as odd because I couldn't get over how much I disliked the scent. She thought it was a nice green smell, similar to CKOne (which I also do not care for) and that it was a good unisex scent.

This is an AMAZING fragrance. It is fresh, green, smells like sweet moss and has incredible staying power. I smell whiffs of it all day, and absolutely LOVE this. I have tried other Tauer fragrances....this one is my absolute favorite!

I really tried to find something redeeming in this fragrance, but to me it smells like an animal carcass rotting under a shallow grave of moss covered soil. My apologies to Mr. Tauer (L'air du Desert Morocain and Pentachord White are lovely!), but this fragrance borders on revolting.

When I applied Verdant to my skin, I was overwhelmed by the unpleasantness of the odor. It smelled like dirt and very ripe earthy green vegetal compost...ghastly and foul. I was determined to smell the final scent, but it took about an hour before the soft blend of smoky amber with a whiff of leather emerged.Was it worth the wait? Possibly, but I wouldn't want to be in public in the interim. I recommend that you try this for yourself before you purchase.

i almost dont walk to talk about to loudly. definitely unique and different especially if you dont want to smell like everyone else....no shhhhhhh...dont want to many knowing

I take it back! It's unfortunate, but after about 40 minutes on my skin this began to absolutely reek which stunned me considering how amazing it was out of the bottle. This may work for others, but for me the rating goes way down.

I've just sampled this and it is amazing. There's a je ne sais qua about it that I'm unable to put into words. But whatever the combination of 5 notes in this are...they are astonishing. So very different. Believe me when I say NO one will be wearing anything remotely like this when you have it on, and people will stop you to ask: What are you WEARING?!

It's a masterpiece. Quite simply, it will rival Andy's acknowledged masterpieces, L'AIR DE DESERT MAROCAIN and LONESTAR MEMORIES. A new green type... the heartbreaking smell of a freshly rained-upon green forest. Such emotion it gives me! You're alone in this green forest, marveling at Nature's beauty and tenderness... but there is something dauntingly scary about THIS much nature; you gradually realize that Nature holds you in no especial preference; she cares about you no more and no less... than she cares about the trees, grasses, bushes and lichens which surround you. It's easily as green as, say Sisley EAU DE CAMPAGNE, but wheras the Sisley is a sunny day in late spring, VERDANT expresses great beauty... but with an aching longing, like a green forest under a lavender-grey sky in a November twilight. Did you ever see that 1995 Hirokazu Kore-Eda movie called MABOROSHI? A group of students are trapped in a lushly green, wet Japanese forest. Beauty... and awe, bordering upon fear at the endless green sprawl.
