“Smelling lily of the valley is always a joy for me. I love the idea that you cannot buy a natural concentrate of lily of the valley, that the flowers resist to any large scale concentration of their fragrant soul. Perfumers may try to come close to the natural fragrance, but you can never quite get there. Thus, you have to wait through long winter months until you can finally smell their green, silvery, opulent and elegant exquisite natural perfume. Building a fragrance with lily of the valley singing in spring was a wish since I started making perfumes. Carillon pour un ange is my tribute to this wonderful forest treasure. After a zesty, juicy-green opening with a slightly metallic tinge, a wonderfully true lily of the valley appears. But this is not the deodorised, air-freshener lotv found in many other modern perfumes; it is the whole plant, complete with leaves & roots, & the mossy earth where it grows. The effect is of silver fairy bells tinkling in a forest. ln the heart, a salty moss note dominates, & is joined later by ambergris, but the lotv peeps in & out throughout, & in the base there's floral, milky woods along with the amber. This is a beautiful, unique, complex, & very long-lasting perfume. Easily unisex, & IMO a worthy successor to the vintage Diorissimo that l miss so much. Definitely bottle-worthy, well done Andy!

Oh god, I had to break out the detergent to try to get this off my skin and even then I had to cover my arms so I would not have to smell this. I love some other Tauer scents but this one made me want to scratch my skin off. Glad it worked for some of you, on me just the memory makes me ill.

Lily-of-the-valley has been given many different settings in perfume history: vernal and green in VENT VERT, brassy, leathery and audacious in MISS BALMAIN. Here, Andy Tauer is striving to give muguet a very natural, organic setting: an angelic LOTV is supported by clovery, farm-y hay notes... If you've ever harvested hay, you'll recognize that sweetly pure, reassuring, summery mellow grassy smell. CARILLON POUR UN ANGE is an inviting, meadow smell with an angelically uplifting muguet. Highly recommended.

This smells like all the hope and magic of Spring. I hate bright and green scents, but this is a bright and clean scent that is transcendently good. Love you, Andy!

Smell starts like a magic. And then the princess, suddenly turns into a pumpkin! The incredible turnaround. Just when I thought "oh, this is a real angel scent ..", it turned into some weird sour smell of medicine.

This seems to be a polarizing scent. Unfortunately, I just can't get in to this one. I *wanted* to love it, but it's just kind of weird, or maybe it's just not me. (And I think the tester was a little leaky or something because it was all I could smell from the box for days and days.) So-test before you buy it. I can tell it's good quality, and it *is* interesting, but I don't think it's for everyone, or even every season perhaps. Cute bottle!

Unreal nice starts, just like the name it carries, but then turns into a disgusting sour medicine. My friends who tried it had a similar experience. So it's not my body chemistry. Really weird. As it happened a mistake in production ..

I thought I wasn't going to like this upon first application. I gave it a second chance, a third chance, every time I liked it more until I couldn't live without it! Many Fine and Complex things require not only Patience, but a great and deep soul in order to appreciate fuly. Like a 7 year old pondering "The War",. will they understand? The same is true for 'Simplistic' adults, they rarely 'get' anything that isn't easily (and quickly) understood.

when all notes pull..violette per yellow color..scent close to deep ocean when gets to violette argonan..Indigo..never can get that smell except when up from deep dives and serious down time,,on skin when up..mixed with Lily close to Lotus.Love this one the best..takes time..grandaughter new Ava agreed..yellow for sun and warm

The first smell it reminded me of was watermelon rind, that sweet and tangy flavor and humid summer nights danced in my mind! The floral scent is lush and graceful, each flower standing its own ground but blended into a decadent bouqet. VERY femme and springtime nymph! Definitely a "floral green". I like my perfumes a little more mammalian and crisp but this would be perfect for a woman that spends more than 5 minutes getting ready.

I ordered this unsniffed from LuckyScent. They, and Andy are going to be the reason I will never be able to retire! The scent, yes the scent is simply lovely. Dare I say I like it more than the holy grail of lotv frags, Diorissimo. Carrillon pour un ange just blooms and blooms for 6+ hours on me. For the first 3 hours it reminds me of Le Jasmin by Annick Goutal. Yes, I get a lot of Jasmin. And then, oh then mmmmm the coldness that never leaves Diorissimo does just that and Viola, lily of the valley! Beautiful, sweet, feminine, and sanguine. Mr. Tauer has created a memorial in a bottle...and for this, I bow down.
