Le Maroc pour elle
Eau de Parfum
by Tauer Perfumes

The Scoop
Like a moment of enchantment between dusk and starlight, the sweet rose of Morocco hovers over the heady scent of jasmine in the warm evening air. Seamlessly blended with lavender and citrus over a base of cedar, oriental woods and just a touch of patchouli, Le Maroc pour Elle is an exotic feminine scent that evokes the pleasure of passion. We imagine a Moroccan princess lounging in the heat of the evening surrounded by a hanging garden of fragrant blossoms... pure heaven.

This smelled ok at first then all I could smell was a cheap incense smell. Very disappointed.

l get woods & patchouli in the opening, & then several hours of a wonderfully dirty, animalic jasmine entwined around a beautiful incense note, & l'm hooked! There's amber & spices with a little citrus in the far drydown. Yes it does have a "headshop" vibe, but being a bit of a hippie chick from way back, this only makes me love it more! lncredibly seductive & intensely soothing, this induces a state of bliss in me.

To my nose, what is especially dazzling about LE MAROC POUR ELLE is its high concentration of natural oils, keeping synthetic aromachemicals to an absolute minimum. To sniff LE MAROC is to get a noseful of what is surely real rose otto, real tuberose, real neroli, real sambac jasmin, real orris, real agarwood, real mysore sandalwood--- these essences are now dauntingly expensive, and Andy has, to my nostrils, spared no expense in LE MAROC. LE MAROC POUR ELLE makes me think of what, say, the classic KL FEMMES would be... if it were blended with only costly naturals.

This is pretty high up on my wish list, and starkly different from my favorite Tauers (Incense rosé and Incense Extreme). It's ultra-femme and gorgeous. It may sound funny, but this perfume has a smooth mouthfeel (yes, mouthfeel) to me. When I smell it, my nose reacts the way my tongue reacts to smooth chocolate truffles made from the finest chocolate and cream. I don't get candy necklace at all on my skin, and this is from someone who is sensitive to sweet-smelling perfumes. It's very French-smelling. Heavy on the jasmine, but not sickly sweet jasmine. The jasmine here borders on body odour, but that's ok, because there are roses (I'm a BIG sucker for roses) and lavender in it too. Plus, there's a healthy dose of woods to give it that North African ("oriental") flavor. As my mother puts it, "It smells like those Arab ladies at the mosque!" Have I mentioned the sillage is fantastic? Also, it lasts and lasts. I have not yet smelled L'Aire du Desert Marocain, so I cannot make the comparison, but you know what? Andy cannot do wrong by me. I should also mention, I am 24 years old, and I wear it like I own it. I don't think it smells like old lady, it smells more like classy lady. Give it a try!

This is my favorite on my vanity. A lot like L'orign by coty, and I love that one. The lavender blends well in there because i can't pinpoint it, yet I know it's in there. I do smell the oranges. Is there tuberose in there? Seems like I smell it. It's rich, sweet and a true love for me. I just love it. It's a heavy, sweet scent, but balanced. How do you pronounce the name of this? Can't figure it out. Kind of reminds me of Carnal flower by Fred. malle- must be some certain note in there. I need this perfume.

An intriguing and complex sensual fragrance. At first it seems a bit busy with all the separate scents trying to become dominant. It quickly calms down and becomes exotic in an old world kind of way. This is not a tame over the counter sort of scent, one must have a little experience to appreciate how wonderful it truly is.

This was interesting at first. After a while it smelled like a candy necklace mixed with a cheap jasmine incense smell. Not to my liking.

I so wanted to like this as I LOVE l Air du Desert Morocain, but whoever said this has only a "hint" of patchoili must not be as sensitive to patchoili as I am - after an hour, all I smelled was a cheap incense stick of patcholi - this is one of the few perfumes I actually found disagreable. I'm glad some like it -- if you like patchouli, it could be a nice scent. it just wasn't for me.

I am so sorry that this smells like the candy Sweet Tarts on me. It appears that it smells wonderful on others! I love Andy's LADM which is a masterpiece so I am not recommending that people not try Le Maroc pour elle, but please sample before you buy, as it might be Sweet Tarts on your skin as well!

On first whiff it reminds me of a jar of cheap hair pomade. I waited for the dry down for more promising notes to arise. Never happened. I'm glad to read that it works well on others.

I absolutely love this perfume. It is bold and exotic so I usually use it as an evening scent. (I also live in a very hot and humid climate.) I love the sensuous, floral-spicy aroma that many people have commented on when I wear it. Terrific perfume!

I agree with D from NY. This seems, from the description, to contain everything I love, but I really didn't like it. It seemed artificial and one dimensional. My favourite perfume is A la nuit by Serge Lutens, which is a single note night blooming jasmine, and I didn't smell jasmine at all in this. It reminded me of a cheap Indian clothing store I used to frequent in Ottawa in the 80s called Orientique--there is a tacky incense smell to it, or something like lentils that have been cooking too long. It's quite nasty on me! I couldn't even wash it off! It just continued to sit there all day and I felt a bit sorry for my coworkers though I don't feel the need to apologize for wearing perfume. Glad I only have a sample and not a whole bottle. Blech!

On me this is mostly jasmine throughout, mixed with incense - the kind the vendors on the streets in NYC sell. If that's your thing, you should definitely check this out. None of the notes seem artificial to me, they're very natural. It's a bit too "jamband" smelling for my tastes, but if you're a jasmine fan this is for you. Quite long-lasting as well.

Please, please sample this before buying a bottle. This stayed very one dimesional on me. Super sweet from start to finish, which was when I finally got a chance to wash it off. I wore it for about 4 hours too. The worst part was the sweetness was very artificial. I did not get any of the fragrance notes listed except a minute or two of the lavender. My husband never comments on any perfume I wear except for today in the car when he asked if it was a new one and that it was not horrible but not very pleasant either. Way to bad too because the reviews and other write ups on this sounded so wonderful. If you must try a Tauer perfume please try L'Air du desert marocain, maybe alittle masculine, but a great multidimension perfume with great lasting power.

Pleasant, warm, does not scream sex nor is it the eighth wonder of the world. Artfully crafted, it exudes a relaxed, inviting aura. I'd say it suits an older woman, a bit boho, but with roots... typ glam earth mother.

It smells very strong and sweet going on and then after about 15 minutes all I smell is jasmine - none of the other notes come through. Still it's a nice sweet jasmine.

I was smitten from first wearing. It starts on me as a balanced citrusy floral with a hint of greenery laced through it - It quickly shows more fruit, then evolves to an ambery/myrrh/jasmine/rose scent. After 30 minutes it settles into this beautiful rose/jasmine/sweet incense. Not a dud note in this composition on me. And the silliage makes me happy. I can see why it gets such rave reviews.

Can't stop thinking about candy necklaces -- quite overwhelmingly and lingeringly sweet. Part of Morocco's charm is that the scent of spices, dust and incense is often punctuated by whiffs of stink, but instead this is just a barrage of flowery sweetness. I suppose that's what makes it Le Maroc *pour Elle*.

Oh man this is one class act. One little spritz and I`m good all day or night. This one morphs a la Lutens only better, one of the few times that I`m glad I`m a woman of that "certian age" so that I can pull this one off. Thank you Andy Tauer!

I've literally tested hundreds of scents and this is by far, on of the most amazing! If you love the heady sweetness of jasmine, then this is for you. I prefer it to Montale Jasmin Full, which is along the same lines.

After reading the other comments, I am really glad this works on me. It is a really unusual and wonderful combination of incense and floral. It is not sweet at all on me, but it seems well rounded. I did not get the musty smell at all that some other reviewers talked about. Definately get a sample if you are torn by reviews. I personally think Tauer makes some amazing scents, the marocain is one of my all time favorites. I love this one, too. I think it is more of an evening scent, as it seems a little more heady than the marocain. This has gotten me a lot of inquiries about what I am wearing (in a positive way).

Although it is not horrible, it did smell a bit like poo poo directly out of the tester vial and onto the skin. Give me Sage's Garnet or Regian Harris' Rose Maroc*Frankincense*Myrrh, any day. I was psyched about this fragrance from the description - just another case of "Don't let the feautures you read control the tickets you buy"

I'm really torn on this fragrance. It's complex but something about it smells like machine oil....or something in a mechanics shop. The dry down reminded me of expensive incense. Still, there's something appealing enough about it to have made me purchase the bottle. I know this is a strange review, but I really have a love/hate relationship going on with this.

I still can't figure this one out. It doesn't make sense. I've never been to Le Maroc myself, which may have something to do with it. There's this...flimsy, plasticy smell to it. I think. But I also am strangely attracted to it.

The Emperor Does have clothes on! Retested, Fireworks! Second time's a Charm! Le Maroc is the absolute best blend of lavender, rose, jasmine, rare wood and spices. Delighful to one's sensory perception, a beautiful, intoxicating perfume. Lucky, it has lingering staying-power to be savored as the day or, night wears on. A perfect present for an exotic princess or, for someone who wants to feel like one! Glad "someone" at Luckyscent found this perfume creation!

This perfume actually embodies its description. It is divine! I've never been a sandalwood person - I've been into my vanilla for years. I FELT transported to a Moroccan souk; I feel absolutely sexy. It's rare to encounter a scent that is so affecting. This scent is definitely not for everyone, but if you are attracted by the description and the notes, you will probably LOVE this gorgeous perfume.

Andy Tauer is the heir apparent to the throne of Serge Lutens. Jasmine has never worked on me so I was leery of this fragrance at first. Even dabbing it on for the first time I thought, Yay, I think I can live without a full bottle of this! Guess again. Once the flowers started blooming on my skin (and on me this is predominantly a jasmine fragrance), its heartbreaking sweetness, tethered by the dark earthiness of patchouli, had me floating on a magic carpet over a vista of Moroccan souks, deserts and palaces. Even I, who could turn my back easily on A La Nuit, have to succumb to the charms of Le Maroc Pour Elle... and to Andy Tauer's brilliance.

A sunny oriental fragrance for the pleasure of passion. Le Maroc pour elle is the perfume of the Moroccan rose at dawn, combined with the seductive evening scent of jasmine. The flower fragrances melt into the enchantment of cedar wood from the High Atlas, forming a truly sensual oriental perfume. The head note is composed of fresh citrus and hints of lavender. Cedar wood forms the perfume body, gently combined with the balm of oriental woods. & more...Le Maroc pour elle is the perfume of the Moroccan rose at dawn, combined with the seductive evening scent of jasmine. I really do love this one. It has a very strange appeal, it smells ancient and intentional, like an old, witchy aphrodisac. Wanton, fickle consumers beware. This is a naturalist queen who desires love, sustainability and creative harmony to reign supreme.

this is a strange and compelling scent. i smell more jasmine than rose, -- but no single note stands out very distinctly. it all combines to this velvety, addictive, smoky, somehow thick and dry and grainy scent that i cannot stop sniffing. caution: it is very strong. i unscrewed the atomizer and dabbed a tiny dab and it is perfection (before that i sprayed it once and almost suffocated).
