A special commission for the Count de Cheverny, this is inspired by a gentleman’s life in the country -- freshly cut grass, leather, hay and wood. A deeply satisfying sweetness tinged with fruit and tobacco gives this a warm, comforting heart, like the fire that crackles in the hearth as you sip an aged brandy at the end of the day, surrounded by the leather and wood of fine antiques that have been in the family for generations. As pleasing and agreeable as good manners.
