Starts off with a big blast of Crest toothpaste, then dries down to almost nothing. Minimal staying power, which for once is a positive.

I've worn Or Des Indes and several other MPG fragrances for almost 20 years. Or Des Indes is my favorite. It smells soft and powdery, and reminds me of East Indian incense. Or des Indes definately has an oriental flavor. MPG fragrances were difficult to find years ago. Thank goodness for the internet. I lived in San Francisco and found MPG in a little boutique in North Beach 20 years ago. The owner bought MPG from a wholesale rep from France. Henri Bendels was the only store that carried MPG. No one sold it on the west coast.

This is SO not me, but that doesn't stop me from admiring the heck out of it. It's got plenty of character and lots of pith. If you're tired of transparent light fragrances that don't make a statement, give this one a try.

Hardcore opoponax!! I prefer a softer treatment, but this is one you can really "sink your teeth into" . A little bit more approachable than Imperial opoponax...

Soft and a little soapy. It has a warm quality with no strong floral notes. Well blended so that no particular note stands out. Very nice on the skin. Good everyday scent that doesn't overpower. Very nice!!
