Oh to be in Bahia, hypnotized by the incessant beat of the drums, dancing under the stars with a caipirinha in our hand. Sadly, we are here, instead. At least we have Bahiana, which lets us dream of hot Brazilian nights. A brilliant burst of sharp citrus fuses with exotic deep woods and coconut to create a fruity blend that is more dry than sweet. It reminds us of pineapple – not drenched with syrup, but freshly cut, with a startling trace of green. As vivid as a caipirinha, and almost as intoxicating.

Bahiana is my favorite summer fragrance along with Soleil du capri and virgin island water! I do not like to paragonize it with D&G light blue! Bahiana and Montale's Soleil du capri are paragonable.

Kinda Light Blue with a hint of sweetness and less sharpness. Not very original but deserve a try for its freshness and joy. Men like it as my experiences show.

I was so excited and prepared to fall in love with this one. The notes sounded great, and the bottle is adorable. But here I sit, with Bahiana on my wrist, and I am sadly not in love with it. It starts off with dry pineapple, and quickly settles down to a very woody smell, then lingers with the exact same smell as the dry down of Dolce and Gabbana Light Blue. Since I am not a big fan of Light Blue, I am also not a big fan of this. Its just okay, but not great enough for the price tag. If you do like D&G Light Blue, then you must try this one, because it is a better version of that. Not ready to rule it out entirely, but also not jumping to buy it.

I bought Bahiana for myself, as I love exotic blends and read that it contained citrus and woods. This is definitely a unisex scent and I absolutely love it!! I am tired of the regular tabac men's colognes so this one fit the bill. It starts out like a burst of lemon, orange, lime but mellows down to a nice woodsy scent, not ordinary either, but absolutely beautiful! The end notes are a pineapple/coconut. This is definitely a scent I will buy and buy again! It is mainly for summer, but is great when emerging from a hot bath. I only wish they made this in a stronger formula like a Eau de Parfum so it would last longer. It is expensive, but you pay for quality and this is definitely quality!!

sweet with an attitude, that's the best i can describe it. tried it as a tester just because of the name (love braSil), but then got completely hooked on it. it's fresh, full of life, summer in the bottle.

This has become my favorite! It took me a while to purchase a full bottle because of the cost, but it just kept calling my name. This is quite musky on me, which I love and makes me think of margarita's in Tahiti. I really smell the lime in this. Can't wait to receive my first bottle!!

When I first got this sample, I couldn't decide whether I really liked it or not. But after a few hours of smelling my wrist, I decided to wear some of the sample out to class. This carefree mood came over me, and I felt as if it was actually summery outside rather than cold and dark. I can see how some might be reminded of more common scents like D&G Light Blue, but only because it's in a similar scent category. I really find this to be quite different and more unique and expensive smelling than the average designer perfume. I love Light Blue, but EVERYONE and their mother has it (including myself), and I feel Bahiana is different enough not to be compared. And yes, it can smell like fruit loops! -but in a much more sophisitcated way. It's got this awesome little spiciness to it without smelling like typical spices. More like exotic spices. I've become addicted to it and own the full bottle. Love it!!

I really like this. Not quite enough to spend $145 on it, but I like it. Reminds me of D&G Lt. Blue, only not as sharp w/softer, sweeter notes - which would be my preference. The citrus comes through nice and clean, and although I don't smell the coconut directly, I assume it is what adds a smoothness to this scent. I wouldnt say no to this as a gift, but not to purchase for myself.

Very fresh and young, but not in the orthodox sense of "watery/clean/light floral" fresh. The description of the fragrance is inspired: it's indeed exactly like a freshly cut pineapple, but somehow not sweet at all. Long-lasting and truly unique. Love!

This is the one sample I ordered that I thought I was going to like the least. Wrong. This is gorgeous and unique. A happy sweet citrus delight laying on a bed of yummy woody warmth. Well balanced and gorgeous.

Wow, this is really unique and lovely, it is hard to put your finger on what the notes are. It doesn't seem to change on me, stays the same from the time you put it on, but unfortunately doesn't last very long. It is also expensive-for those two reasons only I will take off one star, but look at that bottle! How adorable! Has anyone ordered it that could tell me, does it really come that way, feathers and all?
