Scent is Costume Nationals debut fragrance. While all three fragrances in the trilogy are based around a lusty amber and deep wood, Scent was created to highlight the intoxicating floral of hibiscus. Somewhat light and fresh at first, Scent gradually makes its way to a rich, golden elixir, guaranteed to elicit blinkblinkblink eyes from anyone lucky enough to be that close. For the well-bred bad boy (or girl)!

This starts out quite manly on me. I'm all about unisex, and I have several men's fragrances in my collection, but this? I smell like a MAN, baby! For a while, anyway. :-) Then it dries down into a spicy, greenish-woody scent. Nice, but not FBW for me.

This is a wonderful scent. It's warm but not overly sweet or overpowering. Mysterious and with immense lasting power..it changes throughout the day so I never tire of it!

Manly - yes - but I like too. I'm actually in love with this scent, not only on me but my husband as well. It's very unique and both of us have received compliments on it. Love the minimalist bottle too.

This is quite a surprise. I love scents that wear close to the skin and for me this is the quintessential 'skin' scent. It's surprisingly soft and comforting for a scent so exotic (hibiscus, jasmin tea, amber & secrets). I imagine the Harem in Ancient Ottoman times where the air is filled with the subtle scent of spices and floral leaves from the Grand Bazaar, mixed with that "skin" element. So sexy. Unisex? Maybe, but I think Intense would be better for a man (has a more pungent "skin" element).

Sometimes Scent is listed as a floral, but I agree with LuckyScent that the primary note here is amber - a delightful warm amber that evolves through the day and lingers in a radiant aura of amber, white musk, woods, a very subtle hint of peach and just enough floral to lighten it up. On my skin it lasts all day - it softens, and the florals fade, but it's asbsolutely magnetic. This is my signature winter scent - and I get compliments every time I wear it.

when i first sprayed this on i thought: 'ew'....about an hour past and i found myself wondering: 'hmmmm, what is that divine scent??" IT WAS ME! well. more accurately it was Costume National.
