Jailia
Eau de Parfum
by Profumi di Pantelleria

The Scoop
A riot of rich, luscious fruit dripping with velvety honey. The seductive buzz of patchouli. This is a goddess scent. It mellows into a soft, spicy sweetness with the lazy sensuality of a cat stretching in the late afternoon sun. Beautifully layered, the honey is cradled in chocolate and vanilla, but never disappears into it. An enveloping golden aura of a fragrance, wickedly luxurious and deeply sexy.
Jailia Notes
bitter orange, bergamot, pineapple, peach, red fruits, honey, patchouli, vanilla, chocolate, ambergris

Gorgeous! I love this perfume, am definitely buying a FB. It does have a similarity to Angel but it's softer, more sophisticated.

This is so warm and deep and sexy smelling! I love vanilla and patchouli together, the combo generally works well for me. The addition of honey to the mix makes this really special. I don't get much of the chocolate, maybe a tad but even without that note, this is a beautiful fragrance.

I've had this a couple of years, and it evolved from something I found overpowering and wore cautiously and rarely, to my regular go-to scent. A comparison no one's made yet: Bond No.9 Nuits de Noho also has the vanilla/patchouli and fruit, but the fruit is much more dominant in NdN. Drydown on Jailia is warm and lovely, not too gourmand. I never got the chocolate note--it's all 'grown-up' vanilla and a refined, non-hippy patchouli rounded by honey and fruit.

ooh I am very much enjoying this scent. It started out with the odd mystery fruit mixed with honey and definitely the amber underpinning it. Not as sweet as that description makes it sound, and a little rough but not in a bad way, just attention grabbing and nice. Hours later it is smoother smelling and faded but much the same, can still smell the fruitishness and the undersmell of the amber, very lovely.

i love this stuff...the honey, the sweet chocolate... very rich!

Smells really bad on me :( Reminds me of very old perfumes; first one hour was very heavy and disturbing, then it went away almost completely, only the patchouli remained a bit...

I can see why ppl are comparing to Angel, it's definitely got a similar thing going on with chocolate gourmand notes mixing with a deeper patchouli for sensuality, But this is more mature, the fruits section totally passed me by, i didnt get any pineapple or fruits...?? From the second I put this on it was an intense patchouli/amber, I could swear I smelt civet in this at the start, but probably just the patch/amber combo... It gradually softens and out comes the honey but only very subtly. I think its a very sensual scent, definitely NOT a summer or work scent! Its the kind of thing you could wear when youre not wearing much else if you know what i mean! Having said that though, my husband said he smelt something 'off' in this that reminded him of detergent and he didn't like it! Ha!

This smells divine on me! Very sexy. I think I'm going to have to 1. get a bottle 2. get another job to pay for my love of lucky scent. You reel me in with those samples EVERY time!

It's like Angel, but non-offensive. If Angel is for a brassy teenage girl trying to smell sophisticated, this is a foodier blend, and for a grown woman. It's like Chocalate Angel, but without the musk.

This is beautiful and dressy. Sexy. I wish it were softer. Can't see wearing it casually or to the workplace. Another one that needs to be applied judiciously or it'll arrive before you do and stay long after you've departed.

I love this fragrance and am wearing it now and can't stop smelling my wrist. It's soft and sweet, and the honey is definately alive but not overpowering. Someone said it smelled like Lolita Lempicka. I disagree, as I also wear that one, they are both sweet but the notes are different to my nose anyway. I can see where there would be a tobacco comparison (pipe tobacco, not cigar) but I don't find that offensive. it's warm and comforting, like a cozy fireplace and cup of cocoa.

Not for me. I bought a sample thinking the combination of notes sounded wonderful, but there's something cigarish-yukky there: maybe the bitter orange and chocolate combined. I do love the honey notes, a very rich honey. I just don't want to smell like a cigar!

Ok, like Angel this fragrance is a bit loud, but the similarity ends there for me. I cannot wear Angel, it is harsh and ugly on me. Jailia is a much better blended perfume, beginning with wine-like fruit notes, drifting into honey, caramel and chocolate with patchouli as an undercurrent serving to round out the other notes. Fruits drift in and out over the drydown. The whole effect is somehow fuller and more harmonious than Angel. This is what I wanted Angel to be! That being said, this must be applied with a light hand and is not a summer scent!

It smells like a cigar butt dipped in honey.

There isn't a day that goes by that I don't get a compliment on how good I smell. I've been told it smells similiar to Angel, but I feel this is much smoother. It stays on longer than anything I've ever worn.

Angel schmangel! Let's cut to the chase here: I'm a guy that's likes this stuff, probably because me and patchouli have a thing going. Sure it's sweet, but I've known lots of men's colognes and such that were much sweeter. If you wanna sample it, do it: you'll like it.

I must have an old-lady chemistry! On my skin, it's that classic icky old lady smell!

At first sample, I really felt this was a full bottle worthy perfume. Sweet, smoky, wears close to the skin...then I received a bigger sample, really doused my wrist with it and - WHOA! *cough* *cough* GAG....this is horribly cloying in large doses. The sweetness turns rancid and sticks in the back of my throat. I blame the patchouli --- a note that always sours on my skin...I was hoping this time would be different, but alas - nope :P

Rich, sensual and sophisticated. Is similar to Angel, but much more complex. Very sexy and mature.

I love the description of this scent, but the ONLY thing I can smell on me is patchouli with something sour, like a dill pickle.

Okay. How can I adequately describe this? "Jaila" is like La Maison de la Vanille's "Vanille Givree des Antilles" on crack-cocaine. I love Givree des Anitlles, but this Jaila-stuff is some ridiculously heady perfume that singes the hairs in your nostrils upon first whiff. Danger, Will Robinson! Danger, Danger!

This is a wonderfully sensual scent. Similar to Angel but oh so much better. Long-lasting, though it evolves throughout the day--fruity/honey to start; vanilla/chocolate light patchouli to finish. Mmmm.

Dead-on Angel on me, BUT, only for the first 15 minutes or so, then it's much more complex. SO much better than Angel; give it a chance! Just beautiful, and you won't smell this on every other woman in the gallery!

I smell a teeny bit of Angel and Lolita, probably because of the patchouli. Patchouli really just smacks one upside the head, so I think that the other scrumptious notes get a little bogged down in it. I do love it, but almost wish that a little sandalwood or even cedar or moss had been introduced for earthiness instead of Miss P. It is 'wickedly luxurious and sexy', and it is not a simple fragrance by any means, which keeps your attention throughout its wear. Dangerously languid, golden, and rich. MEOW!

Got this as a sample when I purchased Frapin 1270. This does resemble Angel, and actually, it smells more like La Maison de la Vanille- Antilles- which I have and absolutely love. Since they both smell similar I would just go w/ La Maison de la Vanille- Antilles.

This didn't smell as wonderful as I expected it to based on the notes listed. It was mostly honey to me, in a bit of spice. But it was still very nice and lasted well.

SEXY! upon application smells like pure honey. Then the fruit comes through briefly and disappears to be replaced by spice and patchouli and a hint of vanilla. Also, a distinctive tobacco undertone. My be too much for some people so try a sample first, but I live it.

Everyone says this reminds them of Angel. I detest Angel. Too much patchouli. This is great though. Love it.

i like that smell a lot, but it has too much of an angel type of character which make it hard to smell the other fruits in there

Very complex and Sexy. At first application you will smell the fruit then with time it drys to a sensualness that I cannot stop enjoying. This is on my list of must haves.

This is very luxurious, but also so smooth that I can see myself wearing it during daytime, too. Despite the many gourmand notes, it does not smell foody like many cheap perfumes do: it smells like gold, with a touch of something cool. Very deep and full-bodied yet modern. So far I'm very impressed with the line.

Smells decadent, like an overripe fruit dripping with honey. Fans of Botrytis and Frapin 1270 should definitely check this one out.

I love this. The languid cat analogy is dead-on. I imagine this is what Sophia Loren smells like. I hate patchouli normally but it never makes any kind of singular appearance. Very mature. I think Nica is more suitable for me now. Give me ten yrs and I'll be ready for Jailia. Also, be careful about wearing it in the daytime. I made the mistake of wearing it to class and it took all my will-power to not molest myself. Very distracting. Strictly vacation and night-time only.

I'm wearing this now, and to me it smells similar to des files a vanilla, the yellow one. Intriguing...sexy as all get out, and long-lasting. Should be given the price, huh?! Nothing like Lolita ladies. Big night out, at first he curled his nose, now he's nuzzling...!

I love this scent! It's very unusual, but Luckyscent describes it perfectly. Very sweet & smooth at first - fruit & honey. The dry down leaves the softest, most beautiful patchouli, not 60's patchouli, but softer and just delicious.
