The first and original rose-aoud marriage from Martine Micallef. Simply gorgeous in character and simplicity. Delicate, floral and light sparkling rosy throughout; gently overlaid on a rich bed of woods. The signature Micallef gourmand accent is evident in the white chocolate and vanilia; tasty but not too sweet..just enough to transition and carry the rose through to the base. Considering the richness of the base notes of agarwood, gaiac-wood, patchouli and musks you would expect a deep rich character, however in this case M. Micallef Rose-Aoud goes the other direction with dominant but bright and sheer rose notes surrounded by a clear blanket of jasmine and a touch of sumptuous chocolate-vanilla; with only a drop of the woods and musks as a subdued backdrop. The complexity is there, but behind the scene as supporting characters. A very modern in approach to both classical and ancient notes in perfumery. Simply pretty, long-lasting and uniquely Martine Micallef.
