The Scoop
A heart note of Moroccan Red Rose accented by a hint of Gardenia. Subtle fruity top notes contain Watermelon and Blackberry. The whole composition rests on a rich, deep base note of dark Tunistan Amber, with hints of Patchouli and Vanilla. Rich and sensuous.

Very light. Doesn't smell like you are wearing a perfume at all. Smells as if you have transported back to an aunt or uncle's house into the 80s. I'm detecting the scent of cherry Kool-Aid, heavy glass ash trays, and little bags of potpourri. I like it, but I wouldn't wear it.

Musky, vanilla patchouli. I'm not sensing the fruit, myself - just as well, this is beautiful! If you like Jalaine Patchouli, but you have sticker shock, try Garnet to hold you over until you can afford JP. Simple, warm, lovely!

From the reviews and the notes listed for Garnet, I bought unsampled. I highly recommend this be sampled first. I am a big fan of rose based perfumes and oils, but they must be heady and sultry, not light and airy or powdery(Voleur de Roses, Eau Suave) I've been wearing Sage's Garnet for about 45 minutes now and it smells dead on like watermelon incense. Although I do like it, I can see where this would be a bit much for some people or the workplace. Once again, please sample as everyones chemistry is different

What a surprise to find watermelon and blackberry in the mix! Gives Garnet a lively little punch! The Moroccan red rose and gardenia are such elegant florals - sohisticated, if you will. The base of Tunisian amber, patchouli and vanilla add the exotica. If Garnet were a place, it would be where you could live richly, with reckless abandon! Quelle fragrance!

Smells of nothing more than a slightly sweet patchouli, and a very strong one at that. I've never tried a fragrance that contains patchouli where it isn't the only note which is detectable; it's always so overpowering. Good fragrance if this is the note you're looking for, but 45.00 is a lot for something this simple, and so readily available. Sage offers other fragrances that are more complex, still earthy, and more worth the expenditure.

I bought Sage oils for all of my friends for the holidays and settled on Garnet and Pearl for myself. I love them together. It creates a tender, elegant hippie scent; all paisley and peacock feathers. I am constantly being told I smell good. "Mmmm" comes to mind.

I thought that the fruity and floral notes would tone the patchouli down. Way too spicy and heavy for me. Smells like my mom in the seventies when she wore Opium.

Subtle, soft and easy to like. I've been wearing this for an hour or so and can really smell the gardenia. Very pretty.

Was not a fan of fruity florals till I smelled Garnet. This is a lush, almost edible scent. For me, the gardenia stands out the most, but in such beautiful harmony with the rose, fruits and vanilla. Brilliant.

Not one for rose scents but this is awesome! Smells like walking by someone's apartment and catching a whiff of incense. Not too strong. Wish it lasted a little longer.

wonderful scent! it's not one of those HEAVY rose scents that remind you of grandma. first off, you smell a slight hint of rose and powder, then turns warm and musky after a few minutes! serious, sensuous, and definatly something both younger (20some) and older women would enjoy!
