For me too, alas something like bug spray.. pinching my nose

Sharp, repellent. No middle softness to temper it's acidity. Reminiscent of overgreen incense filling the air at a Catholic funeral. Not many people wear it? That's because it's a chemical burn your throat, unscrubbable no-no.

At first, I was really taken by Scarlett's originality. It was sea-fresh, not sweet at all, with spices like cardamom seed, woods like cedar or sandal, and a terrific freshness. Now after 3 hours, I smell the clove and citrus that another reviewer mentioned, and Scarlett has faded to almost nothing. Since I love clove (it smells like carnation on me), it's time to put on some more. I just wish it lasted longer.

I didn't like the initial smell but after the dry down it came through as warm and uplifting, and I could mainly smell cloves!

Smells like a generic men's cologne to me. I'll give the sample to my man, I'm sure he'll like it. It's like Estee Lauder Pleasures for Men. Nice scent, but not exactly unique.

Soapy and elegantly earthy sweet tarts. Delicate and beautiful, but the soapy coldness would keep me from buying a full bottle.

I wanted to love this based on the name alone. My daughter's name is Scarlett! But -- it smells like a combination of Orange Glo and Bug spray -- not a good combination. Good luck --- I hope you find it lovely -- it has a lovely name!

Oh how I wanted to like this fragrance. Unfortunately, it didn't smell very good on me, starting is all right then it smelled like vitamins on me, then became a very intense angelica, and finally the rub which was a nice citrus rose but the scent dried out on me quickly. It is very similar to Red Harissa by Commes Des Garcons which I do like.
