Iris Pallida is the new addition to the Harvest Series, celebrating an exceptional harvest of iris, captured by L'Artisan Parfumeur in Tuscany. Iris Pallida is one of the most precious flowers on earth, and the most precious of all is the iris born in the ochre Tuscan soil, under the endless sky, gently caressed by the breeze, guarded by Cypress trees...The noble aroma comes from rhizomes, hidden deep in the earth. After drying for three years, the roots release the essence of incredible complexity, subtlety and finesse. This is the essence that L'Artisan renders in an olfactory ode to the sublime iris aroma, showcasing the multiple facets of the plant, from flower to root. The fragrance is wonderfully sophisticated, cool and warm, woody and floral, sultry and ethereal. Suave and intimate, the scent is at once feminine and masculine, possessing the softness that is almost child-like. The delicate floralcy of the top notes, with their fresh, subtly-green aroma of lily of the valley, violet leaves and orange blossom gives way to the velvety and sublimely elegant heart, where the precious Iris absolute is enriched by woods, vetiver and patchouli. The base is warm and deep, with guaiac wood and patchouli adding an almost leathery feel to the dazzling iris.
100 ml Eau de Parfum spray bottles are numbered (only 3000 bottles are produced) and engraved with iris flower design. They are presented in wooden cases wrapped with a pearly grey ribbon. |
