Second installment in L’Artisan’s Harvest series, Fleur de Narcisse is based on an exceptional harvest of narcissi in Lozčre, the part of the volcanic Languedoc-Roussillon region in France. Narcissus Poeticus is one of the rarest wildflowers used in perfumery. Fleur de Narcisse demonstrates the complex, multifaceted character of the flower by juxtaposing the bright, truly summery scent of narcissi, the wraithlike iris, the green hyacinth and the surprisingly full-bodied, sensual notes of leather, honeyed, smoky tobacco, moss, and hay.
Innocently summery and unexpectedly, blatantly erotic, the composition of Fleur de Narcisse possesses the perfect balance of the feminine and the masculine, the supremely elegant and the ruggedly bucolic. Subtle and powerful, radiantly floral and darkly animalic, the scent is a tantalizing, bewitching play of contrasts. An intriguing, unconventional masterpiece.
