this was unusual for me. partly because i didn't know what to expect but also because of the similarity it has with mimosa. Though i did smell the jasmine, tuberose, and orange blossom, but ironically i smell more of a violet aspect and the overall finish was more towards a mimosa then something you would expect the perfume would deliver. Literally is identical to Calypso Christiane Celle's Mimosa perfume except more fruity and sweet and expensive. I still like it though.

I bought a full size bottle of this lovely spring scent. The top note is a strong turberose. After the first 15 minutes the true beauty of this perfumes begins! It takes me back to when I was a little girl playing in my grandmother's garden by her mock orange bush. The orange blossom is truly breathtaking. The unfortunate thing about this perfume is that it is not very strong and it doesn't last very well. Most perfumes I only need one spray. This one I need at least 5! My only wish for this is that it was stronger and longer lasting.

Don't know why I bothered sampling this- I don't really like white florals, and none of the other notes are really my thing either, but I guess I got caught up in the hype of this. Oh well I can put my curiosity to rest now. It's a sweet honeyed tuberose. Nice but not for me.

When I first put it on, it was a light floral bouquet. Was surprised at the drydown. It became a soft, subtle gardenia on my skin. Really pretty. Will have to try it a few more times. Am considering buying.

I love floral and fruity fragrance. This is a little too woodsy for me and did not last long.

Generic, pink fruity girly. There are many exactly like this.

This is a lovely perfume but alas, it doesn't have staying power on my skin! It is a little overwhelming at first whiff but quickly evolves to an airy, spring bouquet. I love it but have to reapply it every few hours!

A vapid and boring light floral with a hint of green note. Not for me

I didn't like how this smells in the bottle...but after it was applied to skin, it changed a lot. I actually had someone tell me they were looking around to see what was blooming and then they realized it was me. Everyone who smells this on me loves it, even though I'm a little less enthused than they are. But since perfume is almost like lingerie- sometimes you wear it for more than just yourself- it matters a lot that other people like it. Also, because it smells so realistically like blooming things, it made me realize that the outdoors is a much more "blended" scent than most perfumes would have you believe. But this one seems to have not just the "blooms" smell, but some of the peripheral smells that go with things that are blooming- pollen, a little earth, a little leaf...I'm not really experienced in perfumes that contain Linden as a note, so I think that must be the thing that adds the pollen-y smell that is what makes people do the double-take that something is actually blooming.

I really adore this scent. The first time I wore it, I thought "wow, this really smells like spring" I'm not much of an expert in detecting notes, but orange blossom seems to be the most prominent to me. This perfume is soft, ladylike and fresh. Although this isn't terribly complex, I still love it.

A woody floral it is. But after a while it smells almost gourmand in my arm, which I consider a good thing. Divine and ethereal, fresh and sweet, womanly and girly at the same time. After the first hour it stays very close to the skin and disappears completely a couple of hours later. But to savor this unique feeling, I think of buying the full bottle anyway. Best floral I've ever tried.

A woody floral (I'm lousy @ describing fragrances!) Okay..but not for me.

MMM-(inhale deeply) I really like the fresh sweeetness, and I can smell the orange blossom and a sweet grapey- candy undertone on the first sniff. Unfortunetely, it only lasts on me for 15 minutes and then it is completely gone.

It's not a perfume: It's a blooming summer meadow in a bottle! The smell envelopes you and puts you there as soon as it's applied. Bought it for summer. Wonderful on me. Beautiful!

Harmless. Not thrilling in any way, but then, not altogether bad, either. Just sort of "there." i wold never wear this, but i also wouldn't run screaming from someone who was. Maybe if I was someone who didn't like perfume I would like this. But I love perfume, and I need something that does more than just sits there, smelling like anything else with orange blossom in it.

This is the ultimate floral fragrance. You just get one floral note after another. For me, that is overwhelming. It smells lovely at first, but after a while it gets to be too much. It's just not for me.

I tried the Extreme version of this scent about a year ago, and it went funky on my skin. I don't know if it was a bad sample, or if the concentrated stuff just doesn't like my chemistry, but the original version is just magical on me!! La Chasse Aux Papillons is a delicately balanced blend of some of my favorite notes ever, including orange blossom, jasmine, and tuberose. After the drydown, the tuberose is the most dominant note, but the scent still maintains its lacy complexity. Very beautiful, feminine, soft, and wearable. I'm heading into need-a-full-bottle country....

I'm not sure I get linden blossom from this one; it's one of my favourite topnotes so I'd have spotted it if it was there! I do get a MASSIVE hit of orange blossom, which is appropriate since I wore it to get married in! A lovely scent but can be a little overpowering in enclosed spaces.

So gorgeous in the bottlel. On my skin it didn't really evolve-- it went on orange blossom and stayed orange blossom, with hints of jasmine along the way. Although the title translates to "The Hunt for Butterflies" (at least according to the Google Translator!) I see this perfume as being from the vantage point of the butterfly-- a delicate, airy, floral flight.

It's very pretty and wearable, very fresh, light, clean and tea-like on me. But it fades way too fast. I'm smelling what's left of it on my wrist now, and I want to say there's a HINT of dirt and flower stem in the base note, which is pretty neat! This is in no way a BAD scent, but it smells a little generic, and it fades too fast for me.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned gardenia -- the top notes are overwhelmingly gardenia for me. That nixes this fragrance ... gardenia is too powerful. This fragrance is not something I would invest in at all.

So I seem to be having the same problem with this that I have with all the scents from this L'Artisan Parfumeur, which is that they have absolutely no staying power on me :( Perhaps I need to try the "extreme" version, as those are perfumes instead of EDTs... Anyhoo - this is very light, girly & feminine. It's a bit too strictly floral for my taste, but if you're into white flowers you should check this one out.

I'm not such a perfume person, but I have to say that I think this one really only might work with the right chemistry. It smells really sweet (in a floral way, not sugary way) and delictaely floral in the bottle but on me it basically had an overpowering smell of flower stems...that almost chemically smell. Honestly it seems to me like it would make a good fragrance spray for the home, but as a perfume I dunno. When I breathed it in it was like it left a bad taste in the back of my throat. Also, I'm somewhat allergic to certain perfumes and I had some symptoms with this. Probably all part of the chemistry thing. Also also, I'd say stay away if you're looking for a "sexy" scent

This lasted a good long time on me, and is a lovely summer scent if you love light, fluttery florals. It really does put me in mind of butterflies, but is too...what's the word I'm looking for? Frilly? I love sweet scents (Botrytis is my favorite scent of all time) and girly blends, but if perfumes were women, I want the ones who can be sexy, sweet, and can also climb a tree to rescue a kitten or chase down a purse snatcher, if necessary. This scent is lovely and fluffy and has complexity, but in case of emergency, it would be standing around, wringing its hands and not wanting to get dirty. If you like light, sweet florals, give this one a try, it is very pretty and has good lasting power.

I agree with the reviewer that mentioned the tuberose in this is similar to the one in white diamonds. I was so shocked that I didn't like this fragrance. The first "hit" was like gasoline....the dry down was annoyingly sweet.

My sample also seemed almost scentless. What I could pick up I liked, but I had the feeling I would have to douse myself to pick up actual flowers. And I love florals....

I am a fan of Fracas and just as another reviewer mentioned below, this smells like a lighter version of the famous scent. I love this fragrance for the spring/summer. On me, it seems to last a while too.

If laughter had a scent, this might be it -- it's beautifully light and fresh without any citrusy harshness. The flowers are sweet without being overwhelming and there is a real warmth to the fragrance -- and yet, it seems to float above my skin rather than melding with it -- this is one of the few perfumes I have ever smelled that smells exactly the same out of the bottle as it does on me. The bad news: it is definitely not a year-round scent -- in winter it smells flat and just a teensy bit sour.

Chasing butterflies? More like rolling in tuberoses! No offense, but on my skin I just get plain old tuberose with a hint of pepper. The tuberose isn't even a good quality tuberose. Actually it reminds me of the tuberose note that's in White Diamonds. An as other reviewers have mentioned the lasting power is just horrible. Perhaps 5 minutes tops! Not for me.

Truly nice, well-blended, quite complex yet spontaneous. It's very flowery and fresh, with a distinct linden note, but also sweet. Perfect for summer, I usually prefer the Extreme version, a warmer floral, still very balanced, with less linden and a touch of vanilla, never cloying.

A nearly seamless blend of floral beauty. My skin picks up more linden and jasmine than anything else but again it is such a seamless blend basically it is white flowers and what a lovely, feminine and light fragrance it is. One of my top 5 favorites of all time ( and I have tried so, so, so many fragrances)

I'm a gourmand gal, but this is one of the very few florals I own. I sampled this on a whim and its utter loveliness insinuated its way into my heart. On me, the tuberose is most prominent, but the other flowers are remarkably balanced and seamlessly blended in. When I want to feel flirty, girly or just plain gorgeous, I wear this.

Was wearing the sample last night and my husband's aunt kept sniffing as we were walking into a restaurant and saying "I smell fresh jasmine. where is it? it smells so good!" and it was me. Out of, no kidding, the 35 samples I've ordered, this is the only one I even considered buying. My husband actually had an opinion on it, which is rare. He really liked it.

Really perfectly lovely. Light sweet floral perfume that reminds me of when you are walking along in the spring and suddenly catch the most beautiful honey flower scent and have to run around sniffing every bush in sight to see what is producing it. Plus, the name conjures up lovely images for me. A spring/summery delight.

Fracas-light, heavy on the white florals. These florals are lighter than the notes in Fracas, which makes LCAP more wearable, and suitable for every day wear. Not my type of fragrance to be honest, but white floral/spring flowers fans should check it out.
