This is a wonderfully dark green scent. The vetiver is especially prominent without being overwhelming. Though some would say it is rather masculine, that is rather a selling point in my opinion, as I tend to favor men's scents over women's. Terre de Bois was not sweet or cloying, and while it is definitely not a light summer scent, I do agree with the reviewer who described it as a fall scent, hence the dark green description. A bit pricey, but quality green scents are hard to come by.

This is neither powdery nor floral (as stated in the previous review). It's a blend of citrus, spice and woods that is sublime. Unisex but leans more toward the masculine side. I love this fragrance, and it would be perfection if the longevity was better.

Terre de Bois is a scent that has to be left on for quite some time until it shows its real character. Deep and light at the same time. Wonderfully multi-layered and in some mysterious way still fresh as only a forest could be in the summertime. I think it is really special!

Very strong and earthy, and I imagine it would be am appealing colonge. I found it did evoke woodshavings created when chopping up blonde woods. This is not imagery particularlly want associated with me, and I do not want to smell like colonge. It would be a nice present for father/brother/boyfriend/male friend.

Very, very nice for fall. The Vetiver is the most most prominent note when you first put it on, but then (on me, at least) it dries down to a nice green resinous scent. I smelled enough patchouli in high school to last a lifetime, and fortunately the patchouli notes are not prominent in this scent. It's sophisticated, definitely more bohemian than hippie.

I cant imagine this really sells...then again, i enjoy the "foodie" perfumes ...which is why i'm wondering why on earth lucky sents would send me this-- here's to expanding my horizons.. the nicest thing i can say about this scent is it smells like a men's cologne (aramis, anyone??)
