The Party in Manhattan Eau de Parfum by The Party
|
|
 |
We are delighted at long last to introduce a highly exclusive fragrance -- reminiscent of the glamour of New York in the 1930s, now available for the first time in the United States. This fragrance transports the wearer to a time of soigné elegance – hushed corridors in grand hotels, the foyers of the theaters of Broadway, private parties filled decadence, including that most special event – the debut of a magnificent fragrance, its arrival celebrated with champagne, caviar and Cuban cigars by the captains of industry and the beautiful denizens of Park Avenue soirees.
The Party in Manhattan contains both citrus and spicy notes at the opening, hinting at the rich, slightly indolic floral heart of the Party, with jasmine, rose and ylang flirtatiously demanding our attention. As the fragrance develops and the musky carnality of the base is revealed, with mossy woods, patchouli and amber, the seduction is complete. We are in love.
Each scent comes in a handmade box, made with hand-rolled Venetian paper and has a solid brass stopper.

After trying almost a hundred other scents I chose this one as my "signature scent". It opens with a spicy, clove note, then blooms into a unique, seductive and beautiful fragrance that seems totally integrated and perfectly balanced--like an aria of scent. It doesn't smell floral or perfume-y, or like anything else I've ever smelled. It is unique and exquisite. I even wear it when I'm alone--just for my own enjoyment.

The opening reminded me of nail polish remover, but now, about fifteen minutes later, the scent is starting to reveal a softer, prettier, and definitely more approachable side. I'm not sure this will be on my Christmas list but it is an intriguing fragrance.

This reminds me of Arpege... It's old-fashioned & "perfumey". The carrot note in the opening is wierdly good, then there's citrus & a little spice. I waited for the "floral heart" but got mainly indoles which faded fast, then a whisper of vetiver & woods. Not really me.

The description was very seductive, unfortunately, the scent was terrible on me. I smell like I've just come out of an Indian restaurant. This perfume reeks of curry. Try a sample first!

This starts out a bit strong and then goes to a sublime, long lasting bit of sophisticated lovliness that can only be described as utterly breathtaking! I adore this. Now to find a rich man to buy it for me!!

This is perfectly named. I can imagine walking into a party in a penthouse apartment well underway and this is how it might smell. The floral is very indolic to me. And I get tobacco, even though it's not listed in the notes. Carrot? More like carat for expensive. And speaking of tobacco. The price point on this juice? Holy smokes.

This starts out very strong and very, very naughty. If you wait awhile the opening notes recede and a lush, elegant accord arises unlike anything I've ever had the pleasure of experiencing. The sum of this scent truly is greater than it's individual parts. This is passionate and seductive, not girly. It is not floral, nor is it fruity. If you want to feel powerfully feminine, a woman in all her glory, this might just be the holy grail for you. Masterfully done - I am in love.

A fairly formal and elegant scent. It sounds like it should be more floral from the notes listed, but it's actually quite dusky and sultry.
