Peche Cardinal

It's kinda like a vintage peche. Def has funk to it, but don't know what note it's coming from...smells like animal pee. Not sweet at all...smells soggy.

Simply gorgeous. Bought a sample and have worn it 2 days in a row. The peach is delicate but strong - the Davana grounds without overpowering. Sweet, but not syrupy. NOT powdery and I am here for that. Clean, but somehow rich. I cannot stop smelling myself. The cedar, sandalwood base notes are blended so well that they aren't overpowering the delicate prune. Lily and tuberose can sometimes put me off, but they magically make the peach more prevalent. This perfume has a sophisticated depth that I have not come across in a while. This what I will be wearing during the hot, humid summer months. Sillage 4.5/10. Longevity: 8 hours on me. Try a sample. It appears to either work with your skin chemistry or it does not. When it works, it works!

I purchased a sample of this one and it’s now on my to buy list. It smells beautiful. I’m hoping to pick this up and make it one of my spring and summer scents. I liked it so much that I have now purchased a few other samples from this line and look forward to trying them out.

THIS SMELLS SO GOOD!!!!! It does smell peachy, but like a real peach, not the artificial flavouring. The entire composition of scents is quite lovely, I truly want to surround myself with it :) 10/10 goes on my Christmas list

Lovely summer fragrance with a 1970's vibe. Nice tropical, peach/ apricot opening that becomes an ocean scent in the end. I did not detect any woods as the description says. Mostly fruity gourmands.

The first time I purchased this via Lucky Scent, it was amazing!!. The 2nd time, the composition was off & didn't have the burst of fruity syrupy Georgia peach top notes as the first bottle did. When I first sprayed the second bottle, it had a more woodsy ceder scent from the start that was muting the peachy opening. Had a hint of the original Scent lingering in the background. I either got a bad batch, an expired bottle, OR mixed with something else cheap &woodsy. I can only buy it once a year. I couldn't return the 2nd bottle because I'd not used my 2nd purchase until 3 months after I finished off the first bottle. I wish I'd tested it upon purchase so I could have returned or exchanged. Had to reorder it elsewhere in 8ml spray size.

Lol. First, this perfume-I love the smell, fairly traditional fine perfumery, except as with too many modern perfumes, not much sillage and not much longevity (at least, not the ones you want to have these qualities. The few which do, are usually the stinkeroos, whether cheap or expensive, money-wise. Divine l’Inspiratrice is a lovely exception). Secondly, the name of this perfume-let me just second the reviewer who has tried to point out that the French name means “Cardinal Sin”, and has nothing to do with peaches. If I hadn’t read that peach is one of the notes, I don’t know that I would have even noticed it-it smells like a quality floral to me, and not a very fruity floral at that (Dieu merci!)

I really wanted to love it or at least get some peach notes. It's not peach, even closer, believe me, I know how peaches smell, my parents used to grow them. It's nauseating, sinthetic combo of tuberose, lily and something else, it's not the worst smell from this company, but definitely not the best.

This is now my signature scent. It is sweet, but not overpowering, and floral without overpowering the sweetness. It is peach perfection!

This is one that as soon as I smelled I knew I had to have eventually, though it could last longer on the skin but I'm dabbing not spraying... This is not a perfume, it's an adventure. One where you are lead by the nose to follow the scent, eagerly and entranced in it. The sweetness of the beginning notes grabs you, smacks you, commands you, but with no detriment. It slowly opens into something fuller with soft petals enveloping....then the dry down of sex and innocence all at once. Sweet, floral love!!!

This is a lovely fragrance with an extraordinarily high price tag... Can't justify a full bottle of this one. And could we just put the name of this fragrance to rest: If you go to Parfums MCDI's website you'll see that it's spelled with accents on the letter "E." The name of this perfume is "Cardinal Sin" and has nothing to do with peaches. (Although it does have a fruity smell!)

I wanted to love this. I do love this, but it is so light it has no silage on skin. It's peach, but not sweet - it's ripe and fresh. Purchased a sample and would purchase a bottle if it lasted longer than initial application - loses potency so quickly. :(

This is peach ! I used to like peach and I find this combination quite interesting. But it doesn't work on me. Its too heady. Also, there is something weird about the evolution of the perfume. The first hour or so, I had a strong peach scent, but then it all disappeared. I just had a sort of talc scent left on my wrist and I didn't smell anything on my neck anymore. It's like there is no dry down. Funny. Not a must have anyway. The One Dolce & Gabanna does a better job.

Sadly, this is almost pure tuberose on me for the first hour or so, like an admittedly more complex and sophisticated Michael. After that first hour it starts to really develop into something less overpoweringly floral, brighter and more playful while still being sexy. Alas, while the fun starts at the second hour, this bottle isn't second-hour priced. I'm glad I got the sample because I would have been plagued by curiousity for the rest of my days. I just love the idea and description of this!

Ok I want to put this to rest once and for all cause it is kind of bugging me that people write things without even knowing what they are talking about. I am from Montreal and went to French school. Ok, PECHE, without any accent, in French means peach. PECHE with an accent on the first E and the last E means SIN. Now we can all be sure what the name means. In this instance, PECHE is written without any accents so it means PEACH like the fruit. Btw, I haven't yet tried this scent so I cannot help you gys out with that.

Fruit and white flower scents are not my preference, but the concept of Péché Cardinal appealed to me so much (I am a very ex former-Catholic-schoolgirl, and some ideas retain their hold on a woman’s imagination) that I ordered a sample, reasoning that if I were ever to be converted to this sort of fragrance it would be by one as well-executed as this. And it is indeed well-executed; the first waft of white flowers (lily predominating on my skin, only a hint of tuberose peeking through beneath it) with a bare touch of musk dries within 30 minutes into a sticky-sweet, nearly overripe peach. The drydown is saved from tedium by a thread of currant (though on me it smelled more of red, as in currant jelly, than of black) and a lingering floral background. The perfume doesn’t work for me at all—I find that my dislike of fruity scents is intact after an evening of Cardinal Sin—but I’ve rated it at three stars because someone who loves luscious fruits and white flowers will probably like this perfume a great deal, and because its sillage and lasting power were both above average.

While this might be a more sophisticated fruity scent with undertones of gardenia, it gives me an old lady feel. I'm feeling it's like Victoria Secret lotion on a 60 year old millionaire. Snobby fruit, too uptight for me.

too much like a synthetic unripe peach. not appealing in the slightest

Peach is not a note I ever search for: Too sweetie-pie/girly. cheap drugstore body lotion. However, I am now a convert as I really love this very feminine lush floral. The peach is warm and sensuous, with some fleeting tuberouse and coconut. There is a berrry in there, too. I feel like something out of those floral scenes in My Fair Lady in this. This has much more body than KM Peau de Peche. If you are going to go peach, go big or go home, and this is the one for it.

An intense and luscious peach liqueur leads to a sense of floating on a bed of peach petals. A beautiful dream!
