Figuier Eau de Parfum by HEELEY
|
|
 |
Fig, fig leaves, white cedar and the barest hint of lime, this fig is ripe and just a tad more luscious than other fig fragrances you may have loved. This is a true, full-bodied Mediterranean fig, a modern salute to the ancient beauty of the wonderful fruit from an ancient land. If you’ve never had the pleasure of trying a fig fragrance, you’re missing out. It’s a barely sweet, somehow familiar but always elusive scent memory…a true unique note in perfumery, and unique even within the realm of the normally more ‘green’ fig-based perfumes. |

WOW!--- a truly outstanding dry/fruity fig. Long lasting and really well done. The best fig scent I have smelled and tested as of yet. Although not all work well on my skin, Heeley is one of the highest quality lines I have sampled thus far. Different scents vary quite a bit on my skin, but all are exceedingly well done. Bravo!!!

I like fig, and I like the other two Heeley frags I've sample, but I was disappointed with this one. The fig is indeed in there in a clean and robust way, but there's a dirty-smelling/greasy note there that I just can't get passed. Ultimately, it develops into a musk, which I find quite unpleasant.

In the grand debate among fig perfumes, I have to throw in my hat with Il Profumum, with Perfumerie Generale earning a close second. Heeley gets a third, for two main reasons: it is so dry that it actually seems to me to lack warmth (and I actually usually like dry fig scents), and, secondly, it fades incredibly quickly. If you like a dry fig scent with just a bit more warmth and character, allow me to suggest PG's Jardins de Kerylos.

I'm not a profesional sniffer, but this smelled EXACTLY like scented toilet paper. It didnt smell badly or anything; it was really soft and a touch powdery. A pleasant smell, but not for me!

This is by far the best scent I have tried from Lucky Scent, 50 or so samples later. So far most of these boutiquey scents I have tried haven't delivered. This is it though. I got a sample of this and I want a bottle now. Rami from Tel Aviv has it right, this IS fig, not a coconut rendition or a perfumey take on fig. Luscious, pure, sweet, fresh fig. I smell this and my mouth waters. As a fragrance it transports you to clean air and fresh sun as you wear it. Most fruit fragrances are juvenile and unsophisticated, think Bath and Body works, but this is uber-chic, like I have a car and driver chic. Sounds ridiculous but the point I am trying to make is this is in a league of its own and that is refreshing. With all the samples I have tried they all smell familiar like a version of another already done perfume, but not this one. This scent is brilliant!

Green and delicious at first, but fades too quickly.

I was afraid to try this because HEELY has this love affair with white musk, and there are not enough words in the English language to describe my utter hatred of white musk. This one is creamy and georgeous definitly one of the best fig scents I've ever tried. I will have to break them all out and do a comparison to see which I love best, but I think this one just might win.

Here's the deal. I looked for YEARS for the perfect fig fragrance. I found L'Artisan. Fell in love with it immediately. Both the Extreme and regular, and cannot live without either of them. I recently searched for another fig, one with more staying power, and happened upon Heeley. I must admit, I did not like the first application. I was used to, and really do like, the milkier scent of L'Artisan. Heeley smells REALLY green upon first spray. Seriously, like freshly cut grass. If that is your thing, buy it. However, it is not mine. I gave it 2 full hours. The first hour, the green mellowed, and left me with a great fig scent. The second hour, nothing but a powdery scent. It is still lovely, but only those who are REALLY close to you will smell it. I plan on mixing it with pure fig oil to reap the total benefits. I do like it, but my nose has to be stuck to my arm to smell it. At least I no longer smell like a lawn-mower.

Sweet and cool and ... figgy!
True enough, Eau de Figuier is true to the fig. Not too earthy, but definitely green and crisp and fresh. A springtime/summertime fragrance - refreshing!

this isn't just a "fig" fragrance.
it IS fig! and i know what i am talking about, because here in israel, there are wild fig trees all over, and in the summer, the fragrance ,is something all of us wait for in the summer, and it is something exciting and sensual to smell in it's natural form- this perfume is all that and more.
i am on waiting list for my second bottle.

Fresh and cool in all senses of the word, but also rich and very natural. I would be surprised if a better fig tree fragrance existed

Premier Figuier is usually my favorite fig perfume. But this is just so fresh and beautiful that I think its my new favorite. There are major bonuses to Heely's version, such as it does not smell anything like coconut. Also, its more 3 dimensional and true to the fig. Plus, you get more of the fragrance for the price AND it has better staying power than Premier Figuier.
