Formula Bath and Body
The FORMULA story... Aluminum bottles. No sulfates. And more.
The first thing anyone notices about our products is the bottle. Why aluminum? Aside from its clean look and functionality, we chose aluminum because - unlike plastic - aluminum is infinitely recyclable. That means it can be re-used forever, being turned into more bottles, a bicycle or parts for a windmill. Plastic, on the other hand, decays after recycling just a few times, ending up in landfills. Another thing you can do to help the environment is keep the high-quality pump we’ve provided and re-use it with your next bottle of Formula Cosmetics shampoo or conditioner.
Now, what about the stuff that's in our bottles ? What's sodium c14-16 Olefin Sulfonate? What's Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate? These are the chemical names for natural cleansers. Much like sodium chloride is the chemical name for salt, sodium c14-16 Olefin Sulfonate and Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate are the chemical names for two cleansers derived from coconut oil. In fact, almost all of the ingredients in our products are derived from plant matter, and, more importantly, all of our ingredients are bio-degradable. In addition, our shipping practices include frequent re-use of boxes and packaging materials. We appreciate your interest and welcome your suggestions on other ways to improve our products and our environment. |
