Red And Green Company
Red & Green Company was founded in 1993 and in the ensuing years, began to travel extensively to regions in China, researching various teas. Working with the Tea Research Institution in Honzhou, Red & Green Co. hand selects premium green, black and exotic white teas.
Our selection of teas includes specially selected leaves of the more familiar varieties of Chinese teas as well as rare regional teas picked from plantations long known for the specific teas they grow and process.
Green teas are dried immediately and pan-fried at a low heat. After brewing, the tea is green or yellowish in color and has a nutty taste and a woody aroma.
Black teas are full of half-fermented (oxidized) and then roasted. The brew is often reddish brown and has a maltose flavor and a rich flowery aroma.
Oolong teas are partially oxidized. The brew is golden to dark brown, the taste and aroma ranges from fruity to floral.
White tea is not oxidized. Young leaves are picked when they are covered with white down, then they are wilted in the shade while being subjected to cool circulating air. The brew is light green and the taste is similar to green teas but is more sweet and mild. |
