Red Flower: Hammam
Red Flower has created two ritual-based body treatments founded on the principle of stimulating blood flow through the body by blending layers of exceptional ingredients and pure scents deeply into the skin. While each part of these rituals works perfectly on its own, it’s when you set aside time, step into your shower and bath and take part in your own spiritual journey of scent and cleansing that truly makes this experience like none other. It’s like unlike anything you’ve ever tried—we recommend setting aside an hour, lighting some candles, tuning out the world and giving yourself over to a beautiful bathing experience. All products are entirely free of drying agents and harsh preservatives; each is 100% botanically-based and scented with pure essential oils. Never tested on animals.
Hammam
In an atmosphere of half light, quiescence and devotion, is a sensual ritual of heat, steam, massage, detoxification, rich scent and relaxation based on the skin care practices of the hammam bath house. Tracing its roots back to the ancient roman thermae (large baths), the body treatment traditions of the hammam can still be experienced in the far-off coasts of Andalusia, Spain, to hot springs of Turkey, Tunisia and Morocco. Hammam is created to deeply detoxify and release a warm radiance in the body. Red Flower founder Yael Alkalay, whose Sephardic family origins trace back to 14th Century Spain and the Turkish Ottoman Empire, has traveled extensively throughout Morocco, Spain, Turkey and Rome to research the hammam bath house culture and indigenous therapeutic ingredients first hand. |
