Here's what other people are saying about Vanille Extreme...
After sampling this I decided to buy the 30ml bottle. I’m still unsure of how it projects and the sillage because I haven’t worn it by itself yet, I’ve been layering it with other vanilla fragrances. If you like powdery, soft warm and light cake batter vanilla scents you’ll like this one. I read some reviews saying it has changed, I’m not sure on those claims because this is my first time purchasing it. This is re-purchase worthy imo, especially for the price point.

I'm really glad I found this. I have been searching for a replacement for my discontinued MAC MV2 (which smelled like sour milk on everyone else but smelled perfect on me!). This scent reminds me a bit of MV2. It's a deep vanilla with absolutely no floral tones, less cake battery or gourmand than I usually go for, but somehow it works on my skin and just comes off as a warm dark vanilla with a very slight incense hint. I just purchased it so am giving it a 4 because I am unsure of it's lasting power.

Comptoir Sud Pacifique has changed its Vanille Extreme. It now smells like horrible baby powder. I just got a new shipment the other day and there is absolutely no Vanilla smell to it like before. It was the worst disappointment of my life. I am now trying to find its equivalent. Any suggestions. I don't like Vanilla's mixed with too much. I long a strong Vanilla Bean scent.

Bought a bottle of this after sampling. Smells almost exactly like vanilla extract. Fairly strong with good silage. When I first put it on, it smells slightly burnt for about 5 minutes, this is however, not unpleasant in this stage. Afterwards it settles into a nice, warm, strong vanilla and does not change for me as it fades. Long lasting, lasted all night and could still smell it slightly into the morning.

I love this perfume. It's important to know that tahitian vanilla is a different species than the bourbon variety. If you're looking for a traditional smelling vanilla, this may not be for you. Bourbon vanilla is the standard vanilla used in the baked goods most people are familiar with. Unless you've eaten fine upscale european style pastries, chances are you've never tasted it. The tahitian vanilla in this perfume smells exactly like PNG tatitian vanilla beans. I make flavored sugars with vanilla beans (as well as my own extracts) and when I put on this perfume, it smelled exactly like I opened the lid off my png tahitian vanilla sugar and I mean exactly! I even opened the sugar and did a smell comparison and could not tell the difference. Tahitian vanilla has less vanillin than bourbon beans but more heliotropin. This gives it a fruit like odor and only a slight scent of the more traditional vanilla smell. I love tahitian vanilla and all vanillia varieties in general but if you're looking for a vanilla that will smell similar to what you use at home, this isn't it. Lovely scent though and great for layering for a nice well rounded vanilla aroma. Definately one of my favorites!!!

I agree, it's like cake batter vanilla and edible. Well, not really edible, but you'll want to have something creamy after wearing this. All of the vanille CSP's are delicious, but this deserves the extreme title for sure.

Honestly-I Love this fragrance. It smells EXACTLY like cake batter to me. Alot of things claim that smell but this actually does smell like it. That appeals to me, but I understand how smelling like cake iusn't everyones cup of tea.

I love the topnotes of this, but the vanilla fluff quickly disappears and turns to a very faint vanilla with strong tones of play-doh & nag champa. This is a bit of an incense-y vanilla. I was expecting a more "true" vanilla, but I still like this if I'm in a hippy/bohemian mood.

Not bad for a sugary sweet vanilla... Topnotes of one of my favorite breakfast cereals as a child ... yet good!

Despite the plastic/fake/playdough aspect...i kinda like this one. (Maybe b/c i paid full price for it & can't return it!). i'd prefer vanille-coco to this one.

I think this stuff is pretty nasty. It is really strong and the "plastic-ish" thing is not too far off. Something is not right about it...kind of reminds me of the yellow tree that I hung from the rear view of my first car....

I wish it could had smelled stronger or a like any La Maison's Vanilles' but it reminded me of a sweet smelling playdoe which I am enjoying anyway.

Wow, this was not what I expected. Stick to the original vanille for a better vanilla with no plastic/fake vanilla undertone. Really not a good vanilla, in my opinion, but lots of people think it smells good on themselves.
