Here's what other people are saying about Gothic V- Perfume oil...
I have absolutely nothing against this. Unfortunately, I’ve stopped applying it because my lady’s criticism - says it’s too spicy like a batch of black pepper. I also don’t get too much incense. Gothic II is still my top choice for incense blast. I’ve yet to try the woodsy Gothic IV of which I own a sample and might write about it on that page. Peace.

The other review vs mine is an attestation to how different skins react soooo variably to the same scent. Starts out very dusty smoky, like incense ash with a raw forest fire musk heart. Not a churchy cold incense, but like lighting every stick in the collection and scrubbing your hands in the smoke and ash. Moves on after about 30-60 min to something greener and sweeter-musk with the ashy haze still hovering in the corners, like wearing a warm greenish sexy scent in forest fire season. Far too smoky musk for me even at just a couple of drops, like my clothes are singed. It's a surprisingly good scent and very well made, but I can't imagine wearing it all day.

Unless they poured the wrong oil into my sample, I would say its a stretch to call this an incense scent. Sure, there's a very light undertone of smoke, but it's buried pretty deeply under the gorgeous soft musky top layers. It is a mature, nurturing scent. It reminds me of a top shelf version of Skin Musk Oil by Bonne Bell, which my mother wore for decades. It's a very pleasing fragrance, no particular note dominating like the previous Gothic blends. Of all the Gothics, I can see this one being the everyday wear oil of choice for most people. It's beautiful, classic and sits pretty close to the skin. Classy, regal and sophisticated.
