Bright, playful, complex and delicious settling into clean. Intriguing without stealing the show. Can't stop sniffing my skin.

Oh, so good, just so, good :) You have to like musk though, because that is what it dries down to and what you will smell like for a long time- and its a fantastic, light musk that stays lightly on your skin and in your hair. The opening is what it is all about for me though. I received this and had never experienced fragrance in this way before. A total shocker- a cool brisk menthol-like wave hits you , followed by a gorgeous vibrant sexy black berry that dries down to a beautiful musk that everyone loves, especially guys , not going to lie. I first had this perfume in the winter and it comes alive most in the winter I feel. Cant wait to douse myself in the magic this upcoming holiday season.

This was my very first niche perfume fragrance in 2009 and i've been in love ever since. I wish that I could bathe in this scent. It's such a sexy and intoxicating perfume. I'll never forget getting into a cab one day and the drive spun around after a few seconds and goes: "My friend, what is that amazing smell"?! I always get compliments and sometimes i'll spray it on my wrist before bed. Major MUST. :)

I do not usually go for these notes, so I was quite surprised and delighted to love this! It took me on a dreamy little ride as the scent developed over a few hours. I got a sweet hit of berry and musk with an almost soapy quality on the opening. After about 15 minutes, the musk started to seem a little dirty and naughty, and the berry seemed to ripen. It settled into a heady, clean musk. Fragrance does not usually last on me, but the base notes were going strong six hours after a modest application. This fragrance reads as somewhat feminine to me, but I think someone with masculine presentation could wear it well. Also, I experienced this as classic and elegant.

I have to say that I can't believe anyone would think of this as unisex; to me, it is utterly feminine. This is my signature scent for cool weather (I find it a bit too "musky" for hot weather). I am a mother of two picky children, and I love how this manages to be warm, inviting, cuddly - without being sweet or cloying or overly-sexy. I can honestly say that I will be happy to have my kids associate this smell with me someday in the future, and that is a tremendous compliment.

This is such a gorgeous scent. The green and soft fruit melts into my skin and lasts forever. I come back to this time and time again.

Mure et Musc Extreme makes my skin smell really good by giving it a clean and very subtly sexy aura. I have heard people say that it smells a little medicinal, but to me that medicinal scent smells like a faint whiff of lavender. There isn't any lavender in the perfume, but it kind of smells like your skin about three hours after bathing with a bar of Yardly's English Lavender. It's much softer than lavender, not as sharp. I think this is the organic aspect that reminds people of a berry bush, leaves and all, in early Summer before the berries are ripe. There is this addition of a warm sweetness to it as well. It's a dry sweetness, not sugery in anyway. It smells very natural and organic. Put it on right after a shower when your skin is still warm and moist. Yum. My husband loves the smell of natural skin opposed to heavily perfumed skin and he dug right into my neck and said "hmmm you smell good". I can't help but think of Marilyn Monroe's famous statement about wearing nothing to bed but Yardly's English Lavender. Mure et Musc evokes a similar image of something so proper being married with something so sensual. Marilyn would have loved this stuff.

not even gonna lie but sometimes this smells like my abercrombie undies with the lil moose print all over after wearin em for a few hours , still mostly clean n fresh and laundered with some kinda blackberry detergent. the dark radiant sweetness of the berries prevent the musk from bein too dirty and vice versa . i dont like the regular mure et musc but this extreme version is way better cos its sweeter and more potent yet well balanced

Amazing. I made it through half the bottle thinking it was the safest, nicest perfume on the planet; so pretty, you know, simple and perfect, but not sexy in any way. Good for office wear. Safe. Then I started getting compliments on it. From men, only, and sometimes quite forward. Apparently it smells sexy to some people! Beautiful, in any case, so beautiful. And, it turns out, even more multi-purpose than I thought. I cannot imagine a situation where this would not be an appropriate perfume to wear. As a testament to its power, Mure Et Musc Extreme is the only perfume my perfumephobic DH has ever offered to restock for me. Highly recommended.

Absolutely adore this . Very silky ,elegant and subtle. Rush of fresh blackberry and blackcurrant followed by zingy deep citrus and then more blackberries and clean ozonic musk. Just very subtle and addictive. Smells like me. Love it.

I have to ammend my previous review. This lasted for 2 whole days, and as soon as it faded I craved it like mad and had to reapply. I still think it smells very clean and dry, but I actually detected both the blackberry and musk notes after a while! Which is not to say the scent changed (it's pretty linear) but that I inexplicably started liking it. Sweet and comforting. I'd love to try the original & compare.

This smells very dry and VERY clean to me. Almost like a cotton scent. The opening was my favorite part and it disappeared too quickly.

This extreme version is better than the original Mure et Musc. The medicinal note is gone and the berry sweetness is more pronounced, but not sugary. Instead, a subtle cool undertone is present and the musk is more equally balanced by the blackberry. It is like a juicy blackberry growing wild on the edge of a river in late summer- the musk reperesenting the scent of the river and warms of the sun.

I was initially drawn to this perfume because of the name ... what an interesting combo of scents (though I now realize that this combo is not quite as novel as I had thought; that other companies have gone in this direction also). I didn't quite know what to expect, and I was surprised indeed. This is simultaneously rich and refreshing, simultaneously sultry and fresh, simultaneously comforting and stimulating. What an experience! VERY long-lasting on me, and with a sillage that is simultaneously enveloping and subtle. I don't know if this combo of contradictions makes sense at all, but it's absolutely true to my experience with this perfume. Wow!

I like this a lot. However, the perfume is very sophisticated and i'm not sure it fits me personally. (I got a very mature vibe from this.) I'll say this though, the siliage is excellent. 4-6 hours. amazing.

I just purchased this perfume from Bergdorf's and had actually wanted Mure et Musc, not the Extreme. However, as soon as I came home and applied it, i fell in love. I already had the perfume, not the musc, and it is definitely diff. More sweet, gorgeous can not stop smelling myself. Wears off beautifully, and is light and fresh.

I bought a sample and when I opened it all I could smell was a light tobacco scent. I put it on my wrists and neck anyway and honestly could not smell a thing. Does this perfume require a heavier hand? I really want to love it, all of the ingredients sound like things I love. Any suggestions? Thank you.

My HG-will-always-love-and-never-tire-of fragrance. Stunning in its simplicity, and oddly duplicitous in nature: it can be worn in hot or cold weather, at a formal dinner party or movie theatre; it defies steretypes and compartmentalization. In my mind, reminiscent of rainy days, cool spring mornings, and twilight. I am indescribably in love with this perfume.

Oh my, this is sexy! Mure et Musc Extreme is a beautiful, beautiful fragrance. It's silkier than Mure et Musc, and the blackberry notes are sweeter and more pronounced. The Extreme has a cool undertone that reminds me of a sudden gush of icy, powdery snow. This is an exceptional fragrance for a mysterious, seductive evening.
