As the child of Colombian and Armenian immigrants, born and raised in a working-class Parisian neighborhood, Jacques Jacoglu doesn't fit the typical profile of a Grasse-based, third-generation French perfumer. Trained as an auto mechanic, Jacoglu was working as a valet parker on the Champs-Elysées, using his access to fashion luminaries to make connections and refine his vision. Eventually, he would enlist his now-prodigious network to help found and launch Jacoglu Paris.
