Boudicca Men's
Boudicca is the London based design duo of Zowie Broach and Brian Kirkby. Initially conceived as a purely artistic endeavor, showing in galleries and exhibition spaces, their exquisitely constructed, unique designs earned them a discriminating fan base and an invitation to show during London fashion week from the British Fashion Council in 2001. In 2007, they were the first independent British fashion house to be officially invited to become a guest member of Haute Couture in Paris. Boudicca is greatly respected for their integrity and depth of design – each garment is meticulously finished -- and they remain fiercely true to their artistic beginnings. Their name comes from the ancient queen who fought the Romans ferociously and burnt London to the ground – a legendary figure of strength and independence.
Wode, the revolutionary Art Fragrance from BOUDICCA, explores further the myth around Queen Boudicca (aka Boadicea). Legend has it she and her tribe wore a cobalt blue war “paint” on their skin that gave them a ferocious and mythical look when advancing into battle. When finally defeated by the Romans, Queen Boadicea killed herself by swallowing hemlock, an extract of which is included in Wode.
